" The car company tried to scam me into claiming there was €2000 damage to the car from hail stones. The damage was light and only visible under specific lighting conditions if you studies the car for a long time. They never inspected it like that when they gave me the car. Then when I asked for simple evidence that I could send my insurance company they kept threatening to send their debt collection people. In the end, it took my insurance company calling them and asking for justification and then they backed down and never heard from them again. This was a complete scam - they keep charging people over and over again for the same damage which is impossible to see unless you are really looking hard for it. "

The car was checked very carefully by Enterprise staff but luckily now new scratches were found longer than 5 centimetres. At the time I made reservation, the basic rental costed around EUR 100. I paid EUR 190 for full insurance. My claim is EUR 90. I think Autoeurooe should do any effort to priviledge packages towards known reliable customers (history of troublefree rentals) with absolutely no risk exposure whatever the actual rental party says. The way I see it, this is not the case today as bureocracy and misinterpretation can cause feeling of unsecure rentals. When it comes to me, I always seek zero risk rentals for a transparent and reasonable premium part of the package. "

" After having an AWFUL experience with Goldcar (who we originally booked with through a different broker) we ended up doing a last minute booking with Enterprise (who are actually the same desk/company as Locauto in Olbia. They were great - picked up the car 10 mins after booking, polite staff, quick and easy to pick up/drop off. However this is also a BIG warning against using Goldcar - essentially they didn't let us pick up the car unless we took extra insurance at 32euros a day - the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful and just seemed like they didn't want to serve us or provide a car. It was a really bad experience. So please use a company like Enterprise or Locauto, or any other reputable company but not Goldcar as it's likely you're holiday will get off to bad start. "
