" Worst ever...they charged me for extra insurance that I did not want or need, the cost was as much as the rental itself. When I inquired I was sent the "invoice" with no proof. I debate between deceptive and fraudulent to describe their practices. Never again will they get my business. "

I have signed a document only in italian, the operator's english was poor to basic .I asked before signing if there will be any additional cost and she said NO. " The reservation process was smooth. Nothing bad to point out. "
" I spent a huge amount of time at the pick up counter considering there were no other customers besides me. First, even with my reservation, they had no cars available of the class I chose so they tried to "sell" me an upgrade to a diesel vehicle (+6€/day), which I obviously refused! They ended up giving me the upgrade free of charge. I was also offered all kinds of extras that came with additional costs (even after I stated I had my own insurance and was aware of the implications). I was charged 7,21€ at the drop-off and the only explanation I got was "you agreed with that when signing the contract". Since the amount was low and as I was on vacation I figured there was no point in arguing. Had a completely different experience with Avis, which I definitely have to recommend over Maggiore. "
