" I booked through Auto Europe. I know that the exact car model cannot be guaranteed, and I didn't exactly expect to get a "Opel Corsa" as AutoEurope showed me. BUT We were given a Lancia Ypsilon, and I'm sorry, the Lancia is a MUCH smaller car, no matter what you or Thrifty may say. The trunk in the Lancia is 202 liters versus 300+ in the Corsa. We couldn't even fit our two large suitcases and two backpacks. The Lancia Ypsilon is objectively a MUCH smaller car. On top of that, it was a VERY basic version, with a simple radio with black/white tiny screen, where I couldn't visualize maps/GPS from my phone, which in 2022 is common technology. I am not happy at all with this, and I'm sorry, I'll have to start looking elsewhere for my next rentals. "

There extorted me that the only way to get an automatic car (this was considered a luxury car according to their understandings) was to pay an extra 80 euro for a Ford Galaxy 7 seater car. I lost an hour and a half at the office and the rep there was nothing but unhelpful and incompetent. "

" I always book through autoeurope and take insurance - refundable excess with super cover. However when it comes to whether desk is in terminal or not I suggest autoeurope verifies such information before printing it on the relative voucher as it may be very misleading. "
" First and foremost, on the Autoeurope voucher it stated 'Desk in Terminal' whereas we had to take the shuttle van. So this was a false statement. As soon as we arrived at the thrifty office we took a ticket from the machine at 13.21 and the estimated waiting time on the ticket said 00.11. There were 3 desks but during the long time we spent there the only slot where the 3 desks were manned was an interval of only 5 minutes. Most of the rest of the time only one desk was manned and for some minutes 2 desks were manned. We waited and waited. Any Hertz Gold member had the right to skip the line so the waiting continued and we only made it to a representative 40 minutes after taking the ticket. I have never waited so long to get a rental car. Very inefficient. Car drop off was quick and efficient without any problem whatsoever. Autoeurope surely has the ways and means to check whether a car rental company's desk is in terminal or with shuttle van. So I suggest you check this out as in my case there were other companies which I could choose from the autoeurope site which had cheaper rates, and the only reason I didn't choose them was that they stated they had their desk by shuttle van/bus. So with hindsight I only chose Thrifty on false information/advertising. "

We wasted 1,5 hour of our check in time to our flight just to find a representative who can receive the keys and provide a final check and invoice. Finally, I had to jump a very long queue at Hertz car pick up office at Malpensa to give the key and GPS without receiving any invoice and we have not received any invoice online as promised. Yet I was charged more in my credit card without any explanation "
