" THE FOLLOWING APPLIES BOTH TO SIXT AND AUTO EUROPE: First of all, it was not evident in your site when the prices of the different rental car companies were presented that the Sixt pick up office was located outside the airport. This was communicated to us only through the voucher we received when we made the reservation. The voucher had the following indication: For Shuttle proceed to Exit A07. Unfortunately there wasn't such an exit at the terminal. That was in fact a bus stop located about 400 meters away from the Departures exit. It took us almost an hour going around with our luggage and asking around to locate it. We even called the Sixt office 4 times trying to speak to a representative but we got a voicemail saying that we were to contact Autoeurope since our booking was made through a broker. We tried to contact Autoeurope in the Spanish line but there was no answer. I also note that there were no Sixt signs whatsoever anywhere in the airport or the bus stop. When we reached the bus stop there was no Sixt shuttle. After almost half an hour a big shuttle bus came with the signs Avis and Budget and we discovered that we had to use this shuttle to go to the Sixt office, which was a good 10min bus ride. We picked up the car almost 1,5 hours after we landed and the next morning we discovered that the tires in the car were different, the front were new and the back were old (Audi Q3, license plate 1519 MJY) which made the car unsafe to drive, esepcially in rainy conditions. The next morning the Sixt representative called us to apologize and informed us that they wanted to call us to give better instructions but they were not provided our phone number by you. Upon returning the car we had to wait for half an hour for the same big bus to arrive and take us to the airport. Again there was no sign of Sixt on the bus. We have made many rentals with Autoeurope and are pleased with your service and are very disappointed that this time the information in your site upon making the booking was incomplete and misleading. There was no indication that Sixt was out of the airport and when we actually made the booking we did not receive detailed pick up information. "

" We spent around 1.30 hours getting a car from Sixt. Not only Sixt tried to give us less valued class vehicle than we booked, but they also claimed that without their Sixt insurance, we would pay separately for every scratch up to 1.800 eur that we knew was not true, even if we had no insurance, and we got Premium from Autoerope: 10 scratches= 1.800* 10- total bogus. When we got finally a car of the class we booked, it had multiple scratches and windshield had a dent that were not marked in car papers. We had to request a new person, as the one working with us was strangely hostile and had new car inspection. Had to mention that new person was very polite and professional. As their system were down... It took forever. When we got to exit gates, car pass didn't work, so we had to go back....After return and check and confirmation we were promised that we would get a mail and deposit released next day. Now it is day 3 - nothing so far. "

" There were two people I dealt with, the first was a male staff member who tried to sell us not only an upgrade to our chosen vehicle but also told me that the insurance I booked with AutoEurope was not good. We'd have to go through some kind of claims procedure if anything was damaged on the vehicle to recover our excess damage liability. We were quite stressed about this the whole time we had the car after refusing to buy their insurance cover for £25 per day. We also were not used to having the excess charged to our credit card as opposed to a hold, which is how we normally experienced car rentals. We left the car back at the airport before the office was open so we dropped the car keys in a box provided and hoped we would get our excess refunded. We also took a photo of the car in case we needed to prove it's condition after dropping it off. Overall, quite stressful and most likely would not rent with them again. I do want to add that there was a female staff member who was quite helpful when I returned to the office to check the charge on the credit card for the excess. She also accompanied us to the vehicle when we reported additional marks on the car from their report. She noted them on our rental agreement and gave me a quick tour of the car's functionality. "

" I will be filing a complaint today to have the insurance we purchased through Auto Europe refunded. When we went to rent the car, Sixt explained that Auto Europe's insurance would have very little value in the event of an accident and strongly encouraged us to purchase the insurance directly through them. We called Auto Europe with the Sixt agent prior to renting the car requesting a refund for the insurance already paid. They told us we'd have to handle it in the form of a complaint after returning home.
