" On Sunday morning, because Alicante train station Thrifty location was not showing on google maps, I checked the Thrifty website if Alicante train station is there as a location. The global website of Thrifty did not show Alicante train station, only Alicante airport as a location. So, I called AutoEurope and Thrifty Alicante train station phone numbers, but nobody picked up as they were not yet open. Weird thing is that when I checked the thrifty.es website, Alicante train station location can be found. At the pickup location, I could not find a dedicated Thrify location, there were Hertz, SixT etc. Then, with help from a person from another rental company, realized that Thrifty (and Dollar) were part of the Hertz location itself, they did not have a dedicated location. The board in front of the Hertz office had in very small text Thrifty also - this was not visible from far away. Only realized this when I got really close to Hertz office. Infact all documentation I received was also from Hertz, so a bit of a weird collaboration. "

" There was a fee of 30 Euro for crossing the border, that wasn't in the contract when I've ordered the car. "
" They did not the car from the category I've ordered. They try to make me upgrade to a different car without letting me know about the problem. Then they offer same cast but manual even that I paid for automatic and they said that if I don't like it, I should call Auto Europe. when I called Auto Europe, they finally found a car, but still I had to wait for an hour to get it. "

" Pick up - the invoice was in Spanish so I did not understand it. The car was not in the spot that they gave us - we looked for thrifty 62 but the car was in hertz 61. It took us a long time to find the car. The woman in the counter was very kind and efficient. drop off: the address was not clear. It was difficult to find the entrance to the parking. I got the final receipt only 2 days after drop off. Other than that the drop off was very simple. "
