" I tried to extend the lease and they jacked up their price to about €60 a day saying their was a high demand on cars. The original price through auto Europe was about €16 a day. In addition their booking service on line did not work and they blamed it on my credit card which was false. Also there was no sign at the Sevilla train station where to get their shuttle. After an hour my husband found their shuttle driving down the street and flagged them down. They said your instructions were wrong on where to get the shuttle. It was a horrible experience. (I got another car at Avis for about €29 a day so I think they were trying to gouge us to make up for your low rate. ) "

" Prior to my arrival in the car rental office, I read that many tourists have been requested to purchase an additional insurance package for the reason that their credit card "is not working" and thus GOBYCAR must supply them their own insurance, in addition to the multi package insurance purchased through autoeurope. To be safe, I phoned my bank to make sure my credit card will work in Tenerife. When I arrived at GOBYCAR and tried to use my credit card, for some weird reason the card did not work. I noticed how the car agent quickly referred me to purchase an additional insurance package. I notified her about the reviews I read and when trying to use my credit card again - somehow it worked. Fortunately for me, I already had read many reviews about this phenomenon. But for other unfortunate tourists, they pay extra for no reason. "
