Subsequently I received email from Drivalia saying there were scratches on vehicle and charging me for repairs. If there was any damage (I hadn't notice any) it should have been pointed out at return. Drivalia deny that any of their staff checked the vehicle, which is untrue. "

" Pick up did not happen according to directions. I had my flight arrival time, I waited at shuttle pick up area x 1.5 hrs. Other shuttle drivers called Drivalia Barcellona. It was 10:30pm so we took a 40Euro taxi to our accomadation (few trains that late and language barrier). Then from central barcelona the next day we took a 35 Euro taxi to Drivalia (not at airport). So lots of extra costs. I gave feedback to counter staff about no one picking us up and "frequent shuttle" not arriving 9-11pm on arrival. They dismissed it, said I put wrong flight number in. I did put in 8pm arrival time and I was counting on the "frequent shuttle" til 11pm "

" We tried twice to fill up the car's tank, but it was very hard as the gasoline pump was stopping from the 3/4 of the tank: the second time, we insisted to fill drop by drop for at least a quarter of an hour. We coplained to the staff but they insisted that the car is an a good condition ( Jeep Compass 4xe) and we have to fill it up. "

I was a little concerned that i could easily arrive at their off airport depot again ( given many accesses and side roads to navigate), but in reality the return instructions they provided were very good. For me, that's not a problem, but I can imagine that it is for others that do not speak English or have trust issues with car rental companies. Then, the information on what was and wasn't included in the package (fuel policy, insurance, etc) was not clear on the voucher. We had to check with the renatl company itself and the fact that the insurance was not of the rental company but with Auto Europe was kind of confusing. The rental company told us that we didn't have a full insurance, and we had to check with Auto Europe again how this was arranged when we arrived at destination. The rest was perfect "

" You advertise your list of cars and when one is chosen, the next page offers the Super Cover insurance for under 50 euros, which gives total excess protection cover. I took this out and was told by Drivalia that it wasn't insurance and was worth nothing and that I needed to take out their insurance, too. They even said it was possible that the car may be damaged in the car park after it was returned and I would still be responsible for a claim. I wasn't amused and won't be using them again. I assume the excess protection I paid and you advertise in your website was legitimate, in which case I shouldn't be hassled for further insurance cover. Otherwise, your website was fine !! "
" I objected to being hassled to pay extra insurance, when I had already taken out the Super cover, which they claimed was useless. Also, the implication that any scratch , even collected in the car park after the return of the vehicle, would be claimed for and could be "three or four hundred euros". My daughter and I spent the whole week worrying about any scratch that may happen any time we went out and were relieved when we brought the car back early and were told it was fine. "
