" Dear Customer Care agent I would like to report a very unpleasant experience I had at your office in Valencia Airport on 29 April 2024 and the following events which I will describe below reference to the reservation number CR1430225V associated to my other email address PROCACCI@UNHCR.ORG I booked the car through a broker website, which I will forward this email for their knowledge. Please note the following events: At the time of pick up the car I kindly requested to the agent on the possibility to return the car in advance (on 30 April) in stead of the 2nd May as in the contract and the possibility to return it to the Valencia Train Station Office. The Clickrent agent at the desk (Mr. Ernesto L.) asked me to pay an additional 15 EUR fee to be able to deliver the car at the train station in Valencia and I was informed that there will be parking available a key box where to leave the keys. Therefore there was no issue of returning the car within given working hours of the office. At the time of handing over to me the car at Valencia Airport, I noted that the car was not properly washed and that some significant damages where not reported on the image that was sent to me via email by Clickrent (attached) . As referenced in the email attached " If you find any other damage which is not reported on this picture, please communicate it to our staff before leaving the ClickRent office and they will add it on the damage report", I duly reported this information, but the Clickrent agent (Mr. Ernesto L.) who handed over me the car repeatedly refused to update the damage report and asked me to send pictures of whatever differs from the report. I insisted that the corporate instructions (above in bold) request to me to report damaged to Clickrent staff and it is to Clickrent to update the report. But he aggressively insisted on my responsibility to send the email with pictures of not-reported damages. In order to avoid more confrontation, I did so and picked up the vehicle. At roughly 6 PM on 30th April I called the customer care of Click rent to get the delivery address at the Valencia train station and the operator to confirm instructions for returning the car. The call I guess was recorded by your sistem. During this call, it was confirmed by the call center operator that it was possible to leave the car at the train station of Valencia Sorolla, located on Calle Maestro Sosa 39 where a Key box is installed and key could be dropped 24/7. At 11 PM I went to deliver the car and was unable to find neither the office, the parking lot or the key box. I repeatedly call the call center which was unable to address my queries saying that they have information on the screen and have no knowledge of the additional information. This despite I was charge extra 15 EUR to return the car at this location. After 2 hours of searching and asking around, in a subsequent call, the call center operator informed us that in the Valencia Airport Office there will be "for sure" (quote) a key box and the return of the car could happen there. Therefore, I decided to make an attempt to return the car to Valencia Airport Office. Once I reached the location, I could not find any key box, but a convenient parking and the possibility to leave the keys inside the office premise, given that there was a small space between the sliding door and the floor that allowed me to through the key inside (video of this is available on request). As per the attached pictures, at the time of returning the car, all tires where ok and the car was parked just in front of the office. From the facts described, which were witnessed by a witness that was with me at the time of picking up the car and through the events I just described above, it is evident the following: There was a violation of contractual terms by Clickrent on the responsibility to update the damage report as per item 3) above in addition to abusive behavior which is against the company's values; Click rent staff as reported in item 2) above and then confirmed by the call center operator in item 4), have provided me repeatedly erroneous information and have charged me 15 EUR for a possibility to return the car outside office hours limitations, which resulted as not existing in reality; Clickrent customer care, stated on your contractual and information material to be available 24/7, failed dramatically to assist me as a customer in dire need of assistance in the middle of the night with the pressing need to return the car. Given the failure of clickrent to assist me as per b) and c) above, I made an extra effort to return the car and park it in front of your airport office (see picture). Beside this efforts on my side, I was charged 148.76 EUR for abandoning the vehicle which is a manifestly unfounded statement. The charges related to damage assessment of 49.59 EUR and tire repair of 53.72 EUR are totally unfounded given that as per the pictures attached, I left the car with the tires in perfect conditions. If this was not the case, and I would have driven the car with a flat tire, you would have found damages also on the wheel rim which was not the case. Based on the above, I kindly request: I) The immediate refund of 305,00 EUR charged to my card account as per invoice number FRA2405669V; II) To provide me an explication for all omissions, misinformation, failures in your customer care system that I faced as customer. The events described above have significantly violated my rights as customer, against EU regulation and applicable Spanish National Laws. III) To provide me with monetary compensation of 1.000 EUR given that I had to spend roughly 3 hours to deliver the car back to the airport, contract a dedicate taxi service to return to the center of the town at 1.30 AM, and more importantly I had suffered significant psychological distress making me unable to sleep at night and needing the next 24 hours to revers the stress situation and return to normal. This had the consequences of losing one day of my holiday. In case of failure of reply to this email I would like to inform you of the following: A formal legal report will be filed at District Court of Valencia by my lawyer in the due course; Same legal action will initiated at EU level with applicable procedures; All the events will be publicly disclosed via social media. " The rental office is not located in the airport. During the selection of rental company, it was our main requirement. Arriving to Barcelona airport, we were surprised that there were no Click car rent offices, nobody knew about this company. There were no signs, either information how to find Click rental office or get to the shuttle bus. Some customers spent hours in airport, before they were able to get on bus. After reaching to the rental office, there was waiting line. Only one counter desk was serving clients and service speed was extremely low. In the office was more rental employees but they did not value customers time. So, we were waiting in the line about 1h, before as was only 3 clients! Absolutely non professional staff, with bit with an arrogant attitude. The rental price was attractive but if you do not buy insurance from them, they charge 2000€ as deposit! Insurance cost was not cheap. Without insurance you must take care that you record all car damages, otherwise they will charge you. We received the car with 3/4 quarter of tank. They did not have it in their system and asked some photos!!! Finally we found a rental paper, where it was written. Returning went smoothly "

" What a terrible experience. I booked a VW Caddy for 5+2 or similar. Did not get what I reserved. There was zero space for luggage. When ordering with AutoEurope it indicated that I was ordering 5+2 passengers plus 1 big suitcase and 1 small. There were bigger cars at Clickrent that clearly could fit 5+2 plus two suitcases, but Clickrent said that AutoEurope didn't reserve that size. I tried to get what I thought I ordered, but both Clickrent and AutoEurope could not do anything. I ended also ordering a taxi so I could take the two suitcases. "

For us that's no similar to VW Caddy 5 pax. Also the full was not full, tha person in Alicante, told us that it can happen with Citroen. That wrong it was just not filled up. They obliged us to take a full coverage as they explained us that we had just a basic insurance , so cost us a 357,- Euro more than expected. We are very disappointed. "

We wasted around 30-45 mins going around the airport. Sadly enough, staff personel at the airport are only Spanish speaking. " A bit of a scam - good posted rates for the rental, but then the extras start adding up. The really objectional policy is the one on the return fuelling of the car - a hidden 'logistics charge' of 29 Euros plus the (elevated) cost of fuel. I have never come across other agencies doing this - it's a non-transparent rip off. "

They kept me, my wife and my baby waiting under the sun out of the counter 2h to find a replacement to the broken car they proposed me first (totally used tyres with even a screw on it and car hitted all around). They gave me a manual car despite I paid an automatic, in the counter told me very impolitely that AutoEurope cheated me with the Fuel tax option. At the return they kept us waiting again 1h without explanation risking to lose my flight. And till today no fuel refund so far. I feel stolen with this experience. You/your partner don't care about your customers and get them frustrated at the begining and at the end of the holiday! Never again! Awful!!! I wonder how you will compensate me!!! "

" The car was ok for us, I want to share 2 things that I didn't really feel comfortable with. 1st: Although I payed for the most expensive insurance with Auto Europa the clerk at the clickrent office said that it is impossible for him to rent the car without purchasing also the full option insurance from them (the reason as he said was the debit card I was using). It wasn't really nice because I was with my 3 year old son and outside were 34deg Celsius, so he left me no choice. the 2nd thing: renting a toddler seat for 7 days cost more the seat itself (We paid 56 euros, found in Carrefour a brand new comfier one for 53 euros).. that sounds like a ripoff "

There I discovered my credit card was limited to 1000? a day, I had to take their cover insurance to eliminate the deposit. As I had already contracted the cover through Auto Europe, I paid twice the cover. Other disappointment about the car, It wasn't really clean and one tyre was low (light on dashboard), I had to fix it myself. I would warn people of the deposit conditions. "

" The car had a "system problem" but nobody had warned me about it so i had to come back few minutes after renting it to ask, they told me "not to worry". Especially it had a problem at the tank fuel mark, not signing it full even if it was, at a gas station they told me it happens often so that they can charge you pretending you didn't give the car with the full tank.
