When I reached the Firefly office at 16:00 hrs , the staff tells me that the pick up time is at 16:30 hrs and the car is not in , as yet . She didn't display a friendly attitude and instead offered to give me another car at 8€ Extra per day , saying that the car I had booked was an old one and that she was offering me a new car for this extra amount . During this time , thankfully her shift changed and another gentleman completed my formalities where I settled to pay an extra of 4€ per day plus the hidden taxes adding upto 62€ above my booking amount for 13 days with an upgrade to a car having a built in WiFi . Unfortunately the promise of WiFi was false as after the contract was signed , the same gentleman told us that the wifi could not be located . Though my return was on the 4th of July in Madrid , due to a change in plan I took the car at Barcelona airport on the 1st of July to ask if I could return it there . The lady at the desk spoke to someone in Firefly Madrid and said it can be done but for an extra charge of 121€ , to which I agreed . After her inspection of the car with no damages and a full tank of fuel confirmation , she told us that we can leave and that Firefly would close the deal and send us a confirmatory mail within 10 days . Today is the 14th day since I've delivered the car in perfect condition as acknowledged by the lady accepting the car at Barcelona airport but I've yet to hear from Firefly about the refund of the 850€ taken as security deposit from my credit card from which 62€ +121€ = 183€ is to be paid by me to Firefly . I sought Auto Europe's help in settling my accounts with Firefly fairly . I would also appreciate Auto Europe to ensure that the company that they deal with on behalf of their clients are of a good standing so that the clients don't have to deal with companies who want to make an extra amount through unscrupulous means . I must say though that Auto Europe was proactive in helping me during the pickup ordeal with this Firefly lady . "

" Lady ad the airport office spoke English very well, everything went smooth, we got exactly the car, which we booked online earlier for the promissed price. Only flaw was that during the trip we got a puncture (flat tire) and had to change it for the spare wheel. I called the assistence hotline, where I was advised to exchange it for the spare wheel (and drive max 80 kmph) and come to the nearest Firefly office. However the closest one in Malaga was like 200 km away, therefore I was advised that we can find a service, get it repaired, keep the reciept and Firefly will refund the service. We spend 2 hours looking for an open service (on Saturday) before we were told in a service that this puncture is impossible to be repaired and we need to buy new tire for 135 EUR. I called again to the assistence hotline to check whether this is OK price for Firefly, but I was speaking to different operator than the first time and this time I was advised not to pay for the service, because they are only "external support helpdesk" and not Firefly and cannot guarantee that the amount for the service will be refunded to me by Firefly. I was advised to drive with the half-profile wheel 80 km per hour and have break every 2 hours to cool down the tire and I was given phone number to Firefly Malaga office to ask directly whether they will refund the service to me. I called Firefly Malaga office, the answer was in Spanish, I asked for English support, but after few sentences in Spanish, the other side hang up. Therefore we did not buy the new tire, despite it was arranged in the service center, because we were not willing to risk, that the price will not be refunded and we were driving the remaining 4 days of the vacation 80 km per hour, even on highways, where we were being overtaken by trucks. But the good thing is, that in the return process I did not have to explain/pay/negotiate anything about the flat tire, they handled it by themselves. The car was new (30000 km), comfortable, had built-in navigation even if we did not order it (only the maps were really outdated). "

On return I was told I had to pay over 140 euros for 'damage' to windscreen which was a tiny mark, no bigger than a grain of salt. I have no way of knowing this was a new mark or existing on collection, as I say, the car was full of marks, this mark was minuscule and I had no impacts whilst driving. I will file a complain and follow up with Firefly. They are disproportionate in charging customers for damages which they don't fix, and the car was in such poor condition that it is not possible for a customer to conduct a detailed examination of damages on collection. The young lady was rude and ignorant- for MANY reasons it went Initially the aggressive selling technique for 'additional' insurance was offputting, then I was accused of only providing a 'debit' card which is my ONLY credit card. The tank was only 3/4 and not full as stated. I had to change the car twice, as being 4ft 11" the dashboard had a raised instrument steering design, which despite lowering the consel blocked my view over the car bonnet and I was unable to then reach the pedals comfortably. On return there was a heated argument for another customer issue but it was VERY unprofessional and offputting. I am reluctant to use or recommend them! "

When we arrived at Seville Firefly desk we were told that as we had booked via you we did not have insurance. " Firefly ist in Malaga Flughafen schlecht ausgeschildert. Man wird massiv unter Druck gesetzt bei Firefly eine VOllkaskoversicherung abzuschließen auch wenn man bereits bei Autoeurope versichert ist. Bei Fahrzeugrückgabe wird man abkassiert, wenn man nicht bei Firefly eine VK- Versicherung abgeschlossen hat. " Waited 45 minutes in front of Firefly Office; electronic terminals were out of order. At the desk a strong pressure to sell zero-excess insurance (!!! 156 euro / 4 days !!!). Tried to cheat with deposit blocked at the credit card (much higher than in the contract with AutoEurope). Tried to refuse my (perfectly valid) card - settled after some hardline negotiation. Other customers faced similar troubles. My car had many more scratches than indicated in the contract - had to return to the office to make it clear. To sum it up: Firefly never more! "
