As far as I am concerned the Green Motion office in Athens should be closed and the staff sacked for their incompetence - forcing me to drive a car that I insisted I did not want to drive. I have rented many cars from Athens before from other companies without any problems in the past. "
" The fundamental problem I had from the outset is that the local staff were forcing me to use a car that I INSISTED I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE to drive. I have been driving for decades and rental dozens of cars in many countries and NEVER had any problem before. Unfortunately with my shaken state of mind I had a minor car accident for the first time ever renting a car - the subsequent experience was equally harrowing dealing with them. They charged me extortion price amount for the damage - without supportable evidence of the justification for the huge amount. The whole experience has been a NIGHTMARE from the beginning - I have been left severely traumatised... "

" Green Motion was easy to find, the stuff was great, and finding the car was easy. I had a problem because the gas tank was empty (not just low on fuel but empty) and I had to worry about will we be able to get to the gas station. The second thing was that the car was filthy inside. Seats were white from other people's sweat and on the floor was dirt. The worst thing of all was that I felt the car driving a little strange. We checked the tires and were shocked. 3 tires were from the year 2018 and one was from 2016. Tires were falling apart, no profile at all. After seeing that we did not feel safe in the car anymore. "

Apart from that, when I called them, they told me that this is my fault, as I was not waiting on the right meeting. But, I was there all the time and noone appeared. The same happened for another couple, who were also very frustrated, but they were also scolded from the people in the office, that they should also have left the meeting point. " Green Motion first of all is NOT at the airport even though the Autoeurope site says it is. You need to walk past 4 roads and driveways and a non-paved muddy section to get to them. With kids and lugguge this was absolutely unacceptable. Secondly, they charged the same value as the booking as we didnt have anything by a VISA Debit. All other bookings in the past 13 years we have been using autoeurope have been with a VISA Debit. To give you an example, in the same airport, a booking with Europcar would have been only 20 euro more and they accept VISA Debit and also are in the airport. Thirdly, the car (Nissan Micra) was terrible. Not only was it old and scratches, dented all over the place, it also didnt have a working heater (knob was stuck on cold) and the overall condition was rubbish. Never again "

" AutoEurope did not inform me clearly and in advance of this "2 hours maximum" pickup condition, as I would have expected from a reliable and professional intermediary. Only after reading the small print of the terms of conditions in full did I manage to find this clause hidden among many others. The clause also states that it would not apply due to "force majeure", which was never mentioned by the AutoEurope representatives on the call (even if I was late due to a flat tyre, as explained in detail). I was not given any meaningful explanations or alternative solutions during the calls with AutoEurope, other than rebooking from another company for twice the price (while losing only part of the already paid amount), which is - obviously - not a serious alternative. After explaining the situation in detail, I received an email from AutoEurope on 20 July that you will look into the issue and get back to me, which did not happen even after a month. I am still waiting for your reply. Thank you! "
" I rented a car through Auto Europe (from the provider Green Motion) with pick-up in Chania Airport on 18/07 at 13:00. Due to some exceptional and unforeseen circumstances (a flat tyre I had with another car which we rented in Heraklion for only 2 days, and which I had to drop off at Chania Airport before picking up the car from Green Motion), I was 1h45 mins late at the counter of Green Motion (14:45 instead of 13:00). After having queued outside for around 45 mins, when I finally got to the desk I was informed that my reservation was cancelled in their system at 15:00 and that they cannot offer me any other solutions or alternatives. They told me to contact AutoEurope and they laughed in my face, basically throwing me out of the office since "there are other people waiting". I immediately contacted AutoEurope by phone (several times) and you pointed me to a clause in the contract setting out the 2h delay. I asked Auto Europe to explain to me the reasons for cancelling the entire contract (for 2 weeks) if I arrive with a slight delay at the counter, since there are no potential damages for either Auto Europe or Green Motion, as the car was fully paid by me in advance for 2 weeks (not 1-2 days...). Since the car is already paid in advance, the car rental company could simply keep it for hours or even days in the parking, without any cost. This seems to me as an obviously abusive clause in a consumer contract, which does not justify the retention of a 2-weeks rental fee (EUR 450). Perhaps an administrative penalty (at most) would have been possibly proportionate. Auto Europe also refused to explain anything more than Green Motion and informed me that I am not entitled to any reimbursement. "

" Our experience is extremly bad. When we came to the office to pick up the car, there was a very mean and rude lady named Chara. She started to process our reservation and asked for the credit card. Because mine have just expired, we gave her my friend´s card. She refused to take it. We started to ask what possibilities we have to solve this situation. She was just repeating that she will not give us the car and that the main driver needs to be the person who has the credit card. I have asked her if I can not pay by cash. Her answer was no. I repeat, she was extremly mean and rude. No will to help. She almost kicked us out with words "Go and call to the Europacar and try to solve it with them". So we left and that is exactly what we did. We called the Europacar, where there was a very nice and polite man who changed the main driver´s name and sent us back to the office. We came to the office and the lady (Chara started to talk to her colleague that she should not speak to us (she didn´t know that we speak Greek, so we understood what she was saying), because she already cancelled our reservation. My friend gave her the new voucher with the new main driver and she started to yell that she already have cancelled the reservation, because we left for 2 hours. And that was a lie. We left maybe for 15-20 minutes, just to proceed the phone call and we immidiately went back. So the result was - our reservation was cancelled, I have paid for the car, we didn´t have the car and we were kicked out with no will to help. It was ridiculous and absurd. At the office of another rental company, where we rent a car after Chara´s approach, we were said, that we are already the second or third case from the same day with the say problem. So if this is the business model of the comany, then it is wordless and very sad. "

So they left me in the airport after midnight to call a taxi for Fiscardo and back the next day wich means 160Euro cost for me. The Station Manager explained that it was because I had taken Auto Europe Insurance and not Green Motion - I think this needs to be made explicitly clear on the website. When I returned the car the Manager I dealt with then was very pleasant, he quickly checked the car over and signed my paperwork to say that everything was OK - I think this is very important as once you have left you have nothing to argue with. I was all done and away across to the terminal building in under 5 minutes. I'd think long and hard about using GM again. "

" We have rented many many cars over the years. This was our first experience with Green Motion and unfortunately, it was a negative one. After getting to the counter and giving our booking info to the agent, we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes minutes to finally get into our car. After this, the GPS didn't work and it took another 10 minutes for them to agree to give us a new one. In the meantime, an agent blocked our car with another vehicle and we couldn't leave. When all was said and done, it took us as long to get the car and leave the airport as it did for us to fly in from Berlin. To compare, I have never spent more than 20 minutes to pick up a rental. Additionally, the car smelled of cat urine. The seats were massively stained with salt water, the car was very dirty and had garbage in the doors. It was shocking. But after already waiting hours to get going, we just went with it. "

Other representatives of car rentals were waiting for their customers for all the time I was waiting. It took several calls and 40 minutes for me to be picked up from the airport and taken to the Green Motion office. When dropping off the car, navigation took us to the wrong location even though the address was inserted correctly; additional call to the office was needed to switch to Google maps navigation where we blindly chose one of 2 Google maps given addresses for Green Motion, luckily it was the right one. Everything else was very good. The car was in a very good condition. Staff was super nice, relaxed and informative. "

" For reservation in Greece, Creta EU 14183220-1 I had some problems: When arrived at the rental station the clients were not given the car as the drivers license was only American, not international. Normally, the Greek legislation allows American drivers license. The station didn t allow. As a solution they were willing to add an additional driver, with European drivers license and he would drive the car the whole time, but the agent said this is not allowed by the police. I have tried to speak to the station fo find a solution together so that the clients would have their car, but they didn't want to find a solution. The clients complained the agent was quite impolite, even rude. Finally, after long discutions the clients did not rent the car from this station and paid for another car. Please be so kind and help me return the rental amount to the clients. Please consider they paid more at the other station and they even want the difference back. Also, the other car rental allowed an American drivers license . This was very unpleasant for my clients. Please help me find a solution and return the rental amount to the client. "

After we arrived to the office they said that my credit card is actually debit (I had necessary amount of deposit on the card) and that I should pay additionaly 150 EUR for additional insurance obligatory. Additionaly they offered + 50 EUR for diesel car (in most companies this option is by default). The total cost of rent was about 360 eur, that is much more than offer other car rentals. I didn't refused because it was very inconvienient - I need to return back to the airport to book somewhere else while I was with wife and 1,5 year child. "

The only thing that was disappointing was the lady at the reception on the day we returned the car -19/06/2017 in the afternoon. The booking process was ambiguous, the price was the highest I have ever paid, the waiting period for car pick-up was very long and there is no customer-centricity. You pre-book car hire, in order to avoid long waiting periods and for greater efficiency. They then confirmed that our Car was ready to be taken but we have to pay a EUR 1,000 deposit, as there is no Insurance on the Car. I Showed them my documents & also that we paid Auto Euro for Insurance with an Excess Waiver and they said that we have to take Insurance with them, if not, we have to pay the deposit or take out Insurance with them which we did and the cost was EURO 108. We herewith request a refund. "

She said that they do not have guaranty of your company that they will get back money if something happened. But we did not want to pay once again. We were afraid all the time of rental that something would happened. We know that you would get money back, but we also did not have enough money to pay if accident happened. You should let us know more exactly how it is. Last years we did not have problems like this with other organisations. If we payed insurance on web, it counted. "

" After few kilometers drove, the car was really close to broke dawn because the coolant tank was empty. We have had to search a gas station, buy coolant and resolve ourselves the problem. Relieved to don't lost a day, we restarted our travel and rode across a storm when the windshield wiper broke in turn and damaged the windshield. I am not an expert on the issue, but i am pretty sure than it is not the right one for the car.... If the coolant problem was particularly unpleasant, the incident on the storm was specifically dangerous ! We tried to contact Green Motion, but we still wait an answer. It's by far the worst car rental had seen and I am sure that it will be pretty hard to find someone than surpass the company's mismanagement. "

" The car I was forced to take was lower-classed. I had rent an intermediary and was given a compact one. They didn't give me any explanation for that. The car was old dirty and in really bad shape. The car wheel was shaking above 100 km/hour. We had to wait for 30 minutes at the airport and phone them twice to ne picked-up. Avoid this company! "

" Green Motion at (or at least near) Athens airport supplied a car which had over 70'000km on the clock & had been only perfunctorily cleaned. More importantly, the clutch had to be pushed right to the floor and would stick in that position on occasion - twice nearly causing an accident. the Fiat was also dangerously under-powered. I will definitely NOT use Green Motion again and if this means not using Auto Europe, so be it. "

" When you provide information about the rental company you have to be accurate.The specific one is not located at the airport....when you say airport arrivals hall it has to be airport arrivals hall and not the near by village. If I want to pick up my rental car at some other location outside the city of Athens I can do it by myself and to a place that is convenient to me. Check before you place a specific company on your site. "
