After waiting in the airport for 20 minutes, I have made a call at 22:00 (see printsceen) to the rental company (EXER) to ask them where is the person that should meet with us and they said "it's on the way". So the person arrived to pick us up from the airport well after 22:00 hours. Because THEY WERE LATE, they forced us to pay the 40 euro tax, that in our opinion should have not been charged at all. We also understand from the conditions that if we were to pay the fee, it would have been automatically included in the total cost at the moment of our booking on your website, if the rental would have started as from 22:01. We are very infuriated of this behaviour and feel that we have been ripped off. "

" This office in Mykonos was operating a scam. A printed notice (not on Exer headed paper!) reading that unless the car is returned having been valeted and cleaned a 15 euro charge would be applied. I have never ever heard of such a thing ever. I have used this office many times. They were clearly operating a way to make cash that isn't part of the terms and agreement. When challenged and when I photographed the notice as ecidence the woman dealing with me became very frosty in her manner. I assume because she knew they were in the wrong. Other tourists probably don't challenge it but I visit this island a lot. I won't ever use them again. "

The lady has a mobile payment terminal. She tells me, that she will reservere the 500EURO - it turns out that she actually captures the money - I missed that on the terminal. I call Exer and complain. Again excellent service from Exer who tells me that this is not okay - I get a car replacement within 1 hour - EXCELLENT service. The same lady shows up - she has forgotten a pen, so we just swap cars and she asks me to overwrite the document when I get back with the new details. All is actually good except a bumpy start. I am happy and I let Exer know. We agree that the Billy-company will pickup the car at the hotel - great service! The team that arrives tells me, that they made a mistake, and that I will get my money back. They tell me, that they will confirm by email. They inform me, that "all is good with the car return" - Fuel, no damage etc. I never hear from Billy nor Exer. I write Auto Europe - I get a quick reply and they ask me to further explain the situation. I write back, and I have sent 2 reminders, but never heard back from them. If only you had returned my 500EURO deposite, this would have been a "10 star" review. But you leave me with an impression, that this is a scam. LUCKY ME: I have video recorded the conversation and the "handing" back the car, so I am now approaching my bank and have informed of my experience, shared the video documentation and await to get my money back!
