" I am absolutely outraged. I've been a loyal customer to Europcar for many years, you can check my long rental history with them. This year alone I've rented cars from them through you at Naples, Madrid and Athens. Always paid a lot of extra too, including zero excess insurance. But what has happened at your Rhodes airport office is outrageous. It was already problematic when we came. The pickup location was different from one was indicated on the contract and we had to wait half an hour for the shuttle bus. The handover was lengthy even if I paid full insurance again. But the return was a real horror. The guy had been checking the car for 15 minutes although there was no problem with it, including filming the chassis from downwards - never saw anything like this in my life, even if every year renting cars at least six times. Than he became lucky and happy and informed me that he discovered some traces of water on the passenger seat which is a huuuuugeeee problem and the deepcleaning will cost me 25 euros. This for a really run-down and worn-out Yaris, seriously????? I tried to argue that only water might have been the cause, that I've paid zero excess insurance, that I am a loyal customer and anyhow all cars supposed to be cleaned meticulously before handing over to the next customer - but nothing helped. So he charged me 25 euros and threatened me with additional charges should I not sign the return contract as he provides it. So I signed. BUT!!!!!! This was my last Europcar rental. They have just lost a fifteen-year loyal customer for 25 euros, congratulations!!!! NEVER AGAIN EUROPCAR. I TAKE MY BUSINESS TO EUROPCAR's COMPETITORS FROM NOW ON!!!!!! p.s. upon arriving I saw some other outraged customers so may be a general issue with this outlet. Called them, told twice there should be someone there, and only on third call they admitted he was on his way, and then picked up 5 of us. Then at the office there was initially just one woman on the desk, very slow. No info given re: fuel type so had to go back in, and apparently Europcar policy is not to leave tank full, so tank was only 3/8 full, so had to refuel immediately on motorway ahead of long drive. Also the car seemed a bit old, and didn't have bluetooth capabilities or a USB charger, which is standard now. However the drop off was extremely quick and efficient. "
