My train, I was travelling from Brussels Belgium arrived a little late (instead of 11.45 it arrived at 12.05 hours). I never imagined that a car rental service would close for 2 hours for lunch. Under normal circumstances I could perhaps have had lunch in Nantes and taken the car in the afternoon. However, I had come to attend the funeral of one of my closest friends at St. Hilaire le Vouhis in Vendee and I knew the drive was one hour. I therefore rented another car from AVIS, at three times the price, because it was imperative that I arrived in time for the funeral. I had booked the car with ALEMO as from 1200 hours but they did not warn me that they closed at that time. They did however warn me that I would have to drop my keys off the following day in their drop box as they would be closed in the morning. I find Alamo totally unbusiness like - how can your provide a service and close for lunch for two hours on a Saturday? I am therefore asking to be reimbursed the €40.38. "

Horrible experience! Customer service is replying to emails after a week and with automated messages. I will write bad reviews on all websites that have autoeurope reviews. You are stealing from your customers and lying to them. There is no way to call the customer service after 20:00. I went to Herz and booked another car the credit card worked fine there. They told me that we dont refund and i have to find the solution with autoeurope. This is called stealing. Il m'a alors proposé un véhicule d'une catégorie immédiatement supérieurs qu'il m'a fait payer 5 supplémentaire par jour. J'ai trouvé la démarche un peu cavalière... "

" vous les presentez comme les moins chers et en fait ils sont les plus chers du marche : j'ai du ajouter 20 euros par jour d'assurance sinon franchise de 850 euros et j'ai paye une caution de 1000 euros . au retour ils ont trouve une petite eraflure sur le are choc arriere que je n'ai pas faite et m'ont facture 150 euros sur ma caution - du vol "

" I arrived at 12h00 not knowing that after three hours they could relaease the car even if paid for the whole period. Luckily they still had a vehicule available. I rented chains and they gave me the wrong size causing me a little of stress. I had to look for a garage who managed to adjust them but I was not confortable driving down a mountain curvy road with a child in the car. Upon my arrival they admitted that I had the wrong size, refunded the 40,00 and gave me an upgrade for next time. The person on site was very nice but still ........ "
