" We were given incorrect drop off information for the car (which we had in writing). The location of drop off was another 15 minutes further away, so we had to take an Uber to get to our destination after dropping off the car. "
" Our car worked well for our travels but was given to us with 3/4 of a tank of gas even though we were required to fill it. It also wasn't washed before we picked it up. The windshield was so dirty, the windshield wipe fluid never really helped. "

" I was pushed to take an upgrade, I was ok with it. When I started driving away from the airport I had problems with the apple carplay and the car was just constantly bumping out my phone which was very annoying when driving in a city I didn't know. After a few hours of driving the car broke down. It was some kind of engine fault, luckily it was an electric hybrid so I could use the electric engine to pull in to safety. This was at 16.00. We were parked outside a shop and then I began to call Europcar. It took 6 hours of constant phone calls to get them to come and collect the car and get me and my family to our destination in a taxi. The lack of care of the support team was incredible. I gave them all the information they required to solve the case right at the start but they didn't pay attention and didn't make the efforts they needed to resolve this. Multiple times they promised to call back and then didn't which meant I had to call myself and follow up. More than once I was hung up on despite always speaking in a respectful tone of voice. The support team had very few people working who were comfortable speaking in English. I myself gave all the solutions as the support team didn't know what to do. For example we were about 45mins in a car from Lyon but the team were saying the small town we were broken down in didn't have an open Europcar venue. Lyon had ones open until 21.00 or even 22.00 but these suggestions came from me rather than the team. The team were so slow in getting the issue resolved that by the time they had everywhere was shut down. This ended up costing Europcar a lot more as they then had to spend 300 euros on a taxi to take me to my airbnb. The next day again they had to send another taxi to take me to Lyon airport to pick up a new car. For me two days of my vacation were entirely ruined by wasting time dealing with Europcar's support team who made every situation worse and cost me and the company a lot of time and money. I'm deeply disappointed in Europcar and will never use the service again, I'd happily pay more to some other company to avoid ever having to use the service again. "

" The check in was easy, quick and smooth. The only problem we had was finding the car on the lot and figuring out how to start the car without a key. The car was clean on the inside but had not been washed on the outside. That was a little disappointing. Drop off was very easy once we found the drop off site. "

" Had booked an electric car by mistake and did not realise it until we were picking up the vehicle. We expressed our concerns about having to charge the vehicle since we were going to travel 300km down south and the person serving us immediately provided us with options. He was very helpful and very patiently explained to us how electric cars worked etc, unfortunately we decided to go with a different vehicle and the change process was extremely simple. He had recommended a hybrid vehicle (at an extra cost) and we had enjoyed the vehicle during our trip. The return process was also simple and fuss-free. However, I just wished that they had informed us/reminded us when collecting the vehicle that we had to return it with a full tank, and they should have also informed us about the charges of petrol per litre should we return the vehicle with a partially filled tank. Other than that, our rental experience with Europcar was great. "

" Very smooth. I made checkin online and so the process to take the car was very fast. We stayed no more than 2-3 minutes at the counter, and then maximum 5min at the garage until the car was given to us. And also at checkout in the end everything went fast and smooth. The deposit was unblocked after a few days. The car was almost new (11000 km or something like that) and hadn't any problem. All in all it was an experience I would want to have every time I rent a car. Definitely recommend "

" The representative at the counter was not very helpful at all in providing direction details to our destination when asked and in providing clear details for car pick up. Especially since we are tourists and not familiar with your roads. The pick up path was not very clearly marked and was a long way so either delivery of the car or staff assistance should have been available. Or at the very least a small directional map should be provided. It is difficult for those who have a problem walking long distances. The vehicle was good but needs GPS in English. The location of entrance to drop off should be more clearly marked however the representative that met us there was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Again, a directional map would have been helpful to have. "

" Went very smoothly. Perhaps one thing: my wife wanted to pay with her credit card but I was indicated as the driver and I don't have a credit card. So we were obliged to add her as a driver to be able to pay for the car. We tried to pick up the car 1/2 day sooner than booked but the price for that was disproportionally high compared to the fare for the entire booking, so we forgot about it. For the rest, perfect in every way. "

" The pickup at the Nice Train Station office was very good. I didn't have to wait at all and the agent was very helpful. The car had several dents but it was a very nice car and drove smoothly and worked well for us. I was afraid that I wouldn't get the premium car that was listed but we did get the exact car. The drop-off fee was very high but it was consistent with other companies. "
