That means that Global is forbidden to the French because most of them have this card. I've been renting cars for 40 years: it's the first time I've seen this. " Nobody came to meet and greet at the airport. Instead they asked me to walk about 450 m to their office. The car they provided was not what I paid for. I paid for an Opel Corsa (Economy category) and they provided a Peugeot 108 (Mini category). They had no other automatic car. They refused to refund any amount in case I accepted a manual car, alleging that the difference was only 3 to 4 Euros per day!!!! They did not provide the car with full fuel tank, only about half full and they asked me to return the car with the same quantity of fuel. This was not practically possible and I ended up delivering the vehicle with more fuel. They refused to refund ay money for this. "

Firstly, at the arrival we had to remain for approximately half an hour at the airport parking area for the shuttle and the driver was not very kind. There was only one person at the counter and it took almost an hour to take the vehicle - with no food or coffee in the area. I do not have credit card (only debit) and I was forced to pay extra insurance fee of 22 euros per day. Of course, it was partly my fault, because I didn't pay attention to this particular clause in the voucher. Next time I will probably try some bigger company. "

" When we got to 'Global' the agent asked for my drivers licence and immediately said I must have an international licence. I showed him the terms and conditions from Auto Europe which say an international licence is only required if my national licence is not in the Roman alphabet. I have a US from Colorado. He lied and said it was illegal to rent to me without an international licence. I told him I have rented all over Europe, including in Greece. But then he said if I pay 160 Euro extra, somehow that would make it legal. After a long argument and me challenging him (and recorded him) he eventually just said my reservation is cancelled. I went to Hertz and rented with my Colorado licence. I have not been refunded. "
