At pick-up: The counter agent asked numerous unclear questions (including how many people would ride in the car) and ultimately assigned us a Renault Arkana. When we objected that this was not the class we reserved, the agent insisted it was an "upgrade", stated there were no other cars, and told us we could "go to another branch" if we were unhappy. Vehicle class downgrade: According to the ACRISS classification, SDAR = Standard class (first letter "S"), whereas the Renault Arkana is typically coded CFAR/IFAR = Compact/Intermediate SUV (first letter "C" or "I"). "C/I" is below "S" in size/price hierarchy, and the Arkana was less comfortable for our needs. This is therefore a downgrade, not an upgrade. At return (25 July): A different Enterprise employee was smoking in the garage at the return desk. When I asked for a signed document confirming the car was returned in good condition, she said the contract was closed and that confirmation would be emailed. No such confirmation was sent. This was our first negative experience after many rentals via AutoEurope. We request that Enterprise: Refund the price difference between the SDAR class we reserved and the lower class vehicle we received (or provide equivalent compensation). Send written confirmation that the contract is closed and that there are no additional charges. Address the unprofessional behavior (rudeness, smoking in a work area) at the branch. "

The car itself was ok (it was plugin hybrid. not charged, so the fuel consumption rather serious). It's sort of "happy end". I believe they are not "bad guys", but the situation is problematic. "

" Bonjour, Voici le mail envoyé à Enterprise suite à ma location. Pour le moment, l'agence de Bercy fait preuve d'une grande malhonnêteté. Je suis en attente de la réponse de mon litige. Ci-dessous le mail envoyé: Messieurs, Je vous écris pour vous signaler un problème majeur concernant la location de voiture effectuée hier dont le dossier est signalé ci-dessus. En rendant la voiture à Bordeaux, j'ai eu la mauvaise surprise de constater les nombreux dégâts sur le véhicule à la suite de l'inspection d'un membre très compétent de votre Entreprise à Bordeaux. Vous le lirez vous-même lorsque vous aurez accès au dossier. Quand j'ai pris le véhicule, une 508 break, à Paris, dans le sous-sol de la Tour Gamma à Bercy (gare de lyon), l'employé Hakim (je ne connais pas son nom de famille) m'a affirmé que tous les éventuels dégâts étaient déjà signalés dans le contrat et que je n'avais qu'à le signer. Ce que j'ai fait en parfaite confiance (j'espère que je n'aurais pas à le regretter). Il faisait sombre. La voiture n'était pas propre. Un dégât des eaux, dû à une fuite d'une colonne, avait lieu sur la carrosserie. L'employé de votre entreprise a même déplacé la voiture afin que je ne me fasse pas tremper. Le siège passager était allongé comme si une personne s'était reposée à l'intérieur. Un peu moyen et pas très professionnel, vous conviendrez. J'ai quitté les lieux vers 9h du matin et je suis parti en direction de Bordeaux. Je suis arrivé vers 16h30 à la gare de Bordeaux où j'ai restitué la voiture. Je n'ai fait que de l'autoroute. Je ne me suis arrêté que pour déjeuner et pour prendre de l'essence car le réservoir n'était pas plein lorsque j'ai pris le véhicule. Il est donc absolument impossible de me rejeter la responsabilité des dommages. C'est juste impossible étant donné mon parcours avec le peu de temps passé au volant du véhicule. Le fait de n'avoir effectué que de l'autoroute est aussi une preuve de ma bonne foi. Je tiens à votre disposition les relevés des péages. Les employés de Bordeaux ont même signalé dans le rapport que je constatais avec eux et avec surprise les nombreux dégâts. C'est écrit. Enterprise Bordeaux a essayé de contacter Enterprise Bercy. Sans réponse pour le moment. Je vous demande donc de bien vouloir clôturer le dossier. J'espère sincèrement qu'il ne s'agit que d'un fâcheux malentendu et non une volonté délibérée de retenir ma caution. " The first rented car had a problem: even with air-conditioning, the air was blowing warm on the driver's side. While I was outside south of Paris when I called and had to travel further south, I called two other stations close by, including at the Orly airport, they said I had to go to the original station. This made me loose half a day!!! Fortunately, the team at the gare de l'est station was kind, helpful and sorry for the answer of their colleagues. The second car was the same model but no automatic gear :-(( They said I would get a commercial gesture, have't seen anything so far. Maybe AutoEurope did ? Hope to get a feedback from you.
