Or returning car they invented every excuse to charge me extra money, 295 euros, for vary tiny scratches on rim and an imaginary stain on back seat. Fuel charge not fair. They gave me half full tank and it is vary difficult to return wit half tank. I gave them car with almost full tank and was not compensated even if they charged me 69 euros when I took the car, for their half tank fuel. Full to full is more reasonable. "

Then I got to talk (in the van on the way to the airport) to the lady that dropped off her car immediately after me. An HR manager of a billion+ European firm, as it turned out. She was made to pay some €75 for stains in the inside of the car, in the back no less! And she was travelling alone! She was annoyed, in a nice, controlled northern European manner, and by listening to her story she had every right to be. I never check the back of the car! I think if these guys are gonna get so picky they have an obligation to accompany the client and make sure both the outside and inside of the car are checked by the client. Else it comes across as a rip-off policy implemented by the front-line commandos. "

The bad part was that the lady that took over to deliver to me the car didn't bother to explain anything about the car. The only thing that she really bothered was to insist in a very rude manner to make me proceed with their full cover insurance although i told her countless times that i was not interested. She even blackmailed me that if i don't proceed with their full insurance i will regret it since upon delivery they always find some damage on the car and they will definately charge me part of the warranty money from my credit card. As were taking photos of every paint damage the 'manager' came out and said "yes, ok, don't worry about these but good that you took photos." When we dropped off the car the manager wasn't there. There was another woman there instead. She stood and pointed down with her finger for us to stop. We took our things out of the car and asked if something was wrong. Then she pointed to a light damage underneath the front bumper close to the wheel. We hadn't checked there when we picked up the car and it looked absolutely fine when you looked at it. We hadn't had any experience that could have caused a damage there. We had to look really close to see that the plastic had a light scratch close to the wheel. She went inside and wrote us a bill of 290€ for a light damage on the car which they will cash from our visa. I was beside myself. She wasn't interested in seeing any of our photos. We wanted to speak to the manager but he was at home and couldn't be bothered. We are not using this company ever again and we want to worn people. "

" AutoEurope had a zero excess, extra cover package that I could not find on other websites. I was a bit reluctant with Centauro's 2/5 star rating on AutoEurope, but my experience was 4/5. Maybe they improved their services, or I got lucky as this was an off-season rental (end of November) "
" The price beats the on-airport better known firms, even with extras such as zero excess, but you need to set aside 30-60 minutes extra for both pickup and dropoff. The Centauro location is some 10 minutes away from the airport, but there was a single shuttle bus available, so we had to wait for some passengers on arrival, and also for the shuttle to come back from the airport when we dropped the car off. At the counter the order was predetermined (I guess from the date of rental) and I had to wait while the 3 other drivers in front of me each had various issues* until finally a second counter was opened and we drove off in a few minutes after that. Beware the fuel policy, it was not full-full, but like for like. I received the car tank at 80% and I had to estimate the consumption to bring it back at the same level. They charged 72 euro for the pre-paid tank (charge, not hold on the credit card) and this was returned the next day or so after the drop off. However, due to my credit card being in a different currency, I was charged a few Euro's fee on each transaction. With a hold, this would not have happened. The car itself was a no thrills Citroen C3 (no parking sensors or camera, somewhat underpowered, 20000km on the odometer), but clean, undented and it did the job in Athens' crowded streets and also on a day trip to Delphi. The trunk fit easily 1 large and 2 small suitcases, plus 1 backpack. *) One driver had a nationality that required an international driver's license, the other two had debit, not credit cards. Because only one counter was open initially, I had to wait while none of the others was leaving with a car! "

" My name is Lakshman Sodagam. I live in Denmark. Recently, i planned a vacation to visit Chania with my family (Greek Islands) from the 2nd until the 9th July 2021. I booked a small car with Auto Europe (EU 18517802-1) for the entire stay in Chania. I was supposed to pick up the car from Chania airport at about 11 pm (local time) on 2nd July. However, things went pretty bad as my flight landed 45 mins late and I couldn't establish a communication with the car delivery person at the airport. Adding to my vows, their office closed at 11 pm and he left by the time my flight landed. I expected him to stay there as my flight was the only one that landed late that day. This inconvenience made me end up paying 30 Euros for the taxi to go to my hotel which was near to the city centre. The next day (9 am) I called the car rental company Centauro for an alternative, i.e to provide me with another similar car or a COMPLETE refund for the services they couldn't offer. They informed me that they didn't have any other car for the rest of the period and cancelled my booking. They also informed me that I should get a FULL REFUND from Auto Europe since I didn't make the booking through them. They also informed me that they didn't charge Auto Europe anything. This was a verbal communication I had with them. Soon after, I immediately contacted Auto Europe customer service and narrated the same to them. However, I was told that I should write an email in detail on what has happened post-vacation that is today. The customer service made note of what I informed them. Attached are the voucher receipts of AutoEurope and also the receipt of another car rental company that I hired for my stay in Chania. To sum up, I paid 60 euros for taxis (airport-city-airport) plus 190 Euros for the stay between 3rd until 8th July which comes to 250 Euros. This is in addition to 252.09 euros to Auto Europe. I have been a loyal customer of AUTO EUROPE for almost 5 years now and i didn't encounter any problems so far. I hope that I get a full refund. Kindly do the needful. Regards Lakshman Sodagam "

After an almost 1 hour and 45 minutes delay and when i arrived to the airport i had NO contact person in Arrival Hall and the phone number was out of order due to expiry of working hours!!!
