" Upon returning the vehicle, an employee tried to charge us the entire €350 deposit for a tiny scratch on the bumper. The damage assessment was grossly exaggerated, especially since the car was already in poor condition. To make matters worse, the employee was so unprofessional and clueless that he even showed us how much they had previously charged other customers for damages, while the car itself was clearly already worn-out. Upon closer inspection, it is obvious that this scratch could not have occurred during normal movement of the vehicle, as scratches caused this way would have parallel lines. It became clear that the scratch was deliberately inflicted, either during our return in the office or earlier. They even asked for our accommodation address, which is highly unusual – in over 30 years of renting cars worldwide, we have never encountered this. In short: they created damage and stole the full deposit. This is a scam. "

I filled it up and kept the receipt, expecting to be compensated by the company for a consumable that lasts years and far beyond the period I was using the car. Upon returning the car, I was informed by the very polite indeed employee that his manager said that there is no refund process for this and it is like filling up the car with fuel. Instead they offered me a free upgrade the next time I rent with them, in the form of an unsigned piece of paper. Very much worth noting, the desk employee was very polite and helpful and his attitude was greatly appreciated. I was never approached by the manager (and owner if I am not mistaken) directly for this isssue although he was present. Although the cost of AdBlue was in the order of 20 euros, I still believe that this is a cost that should have been taken up by the company as I only used a very small fraction of it. "

" Beware! Monstrous scam! We were charged 920€ for a preexisted bumb!!! In detail: We were given a car that was full of scratches and bumbs all over the car. They refused to give us another one. We found very difficult to note all marks in the relative damage form. So it was not a surprise we did not note in the damage form a bumb that it was hard to notice, because of the absence of light during pick up. We attach pictures of the damage on an Economy category car (Nissan Micra) with 35.000 km and innumerable scratches and bumbs to get an idea for the excessiveness of the charge. We paid for 11 days hire in Christmas high season 98€ rental fee, and in the damage charge of 920€ they include 320€ for their costs and lost revenue(!!), 500€ for the damage repair and 100€ VAT(!!). It is very clear that their strategy is to make lots of money by charging for scratches that they deliberately discover during car return. They do not repair the cars because so they increase their chances that the customer will not note preexisted damages and then will have to pay for them. They do not have a list of charges like Goldcar for example and they do not officially define what a scratch is. The testimonies and the grade they get in TRUST PILOT says it all for ABBYCAR. The question is what do the Greek authorities do about that! Me I am going to sue them, along with the broker Auto Europe that made the reservation. "
