I have a toddler and aging parents and we really needed that little bit of extra space (not for suitcases but for the people as the car was supposed to fit 5 and would have really struggled with that), and my parents struggled to get out of the car which was very low to the ground. I was told by Europcar that I could get a bigger car and claim it back from AutoEurope, but it would be much better if the classification of the cars matched the booking process. I was really looking forward to having the slightly bigger vehicle and it was a negative start to our holiday because of it. "

" Was very happy with the experience from start to finish of rental but have now been charged an additional amount after checking that there would be absolutely no extra charges when I took the car out and also again when I returned it. It is only a small amount but I have been charged additional costs nonetheless therefore i wouldn't recommend using Kesey/Europcar again - I have disputed the additional charges and am yet to hear what the outcome is. Unfortunately this happened to my husband and another friend when they last rented through Europcar - the additional charges were refunded as it was 'an error' but having now seen this happen three times I wonder how many 'errors' they get away with! The additional amount taken was unauthorised therefore I believe they are acting unlawfully - I await to see whether the additional charges will be refunded or whether I will have to pursue it further. " My wife made the booking through you and noted the voucher number that came up on the screen, she was advised an email confirmation would follow to my email address which was the contact she provided and which you have contacted me on now. On arrival at Gatwick I asked her what company the vehicle was hired with and she said I should have an email with the information. I never received any email from you with this booking, your customer review is the first email I have ever received from you. My wife had taken a screen shot at the time of booking and this showed AVIS so we went to AVIS and produced the voucher number which they could not find any record of and said it was not in their format and had no vehicles avaialble for hire. We then went across to Europcar and presented the voucher number to them and got the same response that there was nothing on their system. We therefore hired a vehicle directly from Europeca as it was early evenining and we had a long driver. My wife emailed you on our return explaining the situation and asked for reimbursement of the payment and to ensure we had the funds returned also notified our credit card company to reverse the payment originally made. We have had no response to the email sent to you on 21 Februaty 2020. "

" Dear Sir/Madam, My experience renting a car from your company was not the best one I had and transparency in prices is quite a foreign word for you. In fact, I was, and still be, so disappointed for the amount of money I had to pay that I am compelled to write this letter. The trouble started when I saw the bill for the vehicle I had reserved weeks in advance (ref: reservation number 1089268021). I had already paid €97.50 at the booking and according to your reservation information I received via email (attached below) I was supposed to pay still £55.00. I also went for an additional premium protection (tot. Amt.: £82,51) plus Bas Rental-Upgrade (£90,00) and One Way (£55,00). In total this should be £227 (€258). The problem is I ended up paying €354.73 which is not exactly what I was expecting for, since I booked the car at Auto Europe mainly because of their (apparent) good offer. In addition to this I didn't get any proper explanations for this huge discrepancy between the initial and final bill by your customer service. " Keddy were not the problem it was Europcar who handle their business. Indistinguishable from Eurpocar at the point of collection. Europcar service on collection was appalling with a 1 hour wait at 11pm to be served. Only 1 efficient and 1 work shy person on duty and a lot of dissatisfied customers waiting to be dealt with. The manager took off without making any contribution to getting the backlog dealt with and the work shy operative found it necessary to disappear round the back between customers for up to 10 minutes on each occasion. The main problem seems to be that Europcar doesn't have the organisation or leadership skills at Gatwick south to deal with peak demand and/or late arrivals.,the checking back in was fine and efficient. "
