" I am torn about using autoEurope in the future. I have rented from you many times over more than 20 years. "
" I was given the option to add some insurance coverage. I was told the price. The actual price charge me was far greater than that because of some added taxes and fees that the agent did not tell me about. This added deductible coverage for the insurance doubled the price of the rental. The return agent also recorded an incorrect time. I returned the car one day early and they recorded a much later time in the time that I returned it. Europcar did not. Charge me for three days, but charged me for four days even though I returned it one day early. Most US companies will charge for the amount of time that you keep the car not the time that you reserve the car. Our flight was late and so I picked up the car late but they charged me for the time that was reserved. the agent was very nice but the procedure was deceptive. I've rented cars in Europe many times, and this was the worst experience. "

" Despite booking with Hertz 2 months ago, they had no record of my details so they had to reload them. Car offered was electric despite the fact that not all holiday homes/hotels have outside charging points and my destination didn't so had to wait for petrol car to be delivered which was dirty inside and scratched. Both times there was no one at the drop off point so had to take keys back to main desk. Unfortunately, the UK no longer understands the meaning of 'customer service' "

" The car either didn't have any windscreen wiper fluid or else it froze over. But this is unlikely as most windscreen wiper fluid contains antifreeze. This means that they did not check the car before giving it to me. Also, it was not completely full when I received it. The counter staff tried to talk me into getting an automatic without informing me that it would be substantially more expensive in the end I declined once he told me about the additional cost. "

There was a minor problem with a wheel pressure sensor - it came on, so we checked the pressure, but they weren't underinflated and we couldn't get the sensor to reinitialise. We realised it was a sensor problem so told the staff when we dropped the car back - minor issue for us in the end fortunately. "

" The main cause of dissatisfaction is the location with long waits for the 'shuttle service' which then gets very crowded. The vehicle I git was oversized (Vauxhall Crossland SUV instead of an intermediate Kia Ceed 'or similar'.) The vehicle wasn't equipped with either parking sensors or rear view camera which would have come as standard with most other cars, especially of that size. "

One thing that was frustrating is on the website you had a list of pickup and drop off locations that you had to select. Many times I'd pick a location and it said that I have to pick a different place. Just don't show a location if I can't pickup or drop off there. That would save a lot of effort and frustration. "

" As always, Auto Europe doesn't fail to deliver good deals. I especially like the "free extra driver" offer on some rentals and this is what makes the deal for me..., not that I need the extra driver (unless a long journey is planned) but it is good to have one available, just in case. I had to contact on the phone, Auto Europe Support this time, to fix an error ( the "free extra driver" did not appear on my rental contract). Ms Marta S. from the Reservations Team was very helpful indeed and I received a new & corrected contract in less than 24 hours! "
" This was my first rental with Sixt in the U.K and I have to admit that it went without a hitch. We were given a very good car. The Sixt desk & depot are virtually smack on Heathrow Terminal 5 (inside Sofitel hotel!). it took as no more than 3 minutes to walk to the desk from the Arrivals Hall. I especially liked the flex-fuel scheme. No more trouble trying to find a fuel station to fill up the car before drop-off. Car is returned "as is" and Sixt fills it up and charges the client normal, fuel station prices. "

None of your competitors come close to the offers you have. Your prices are always the best and your booking system always works very well. " Very quick administrative turnaround, no physical paperwork made the process very smooth. The only slight hiccup was that the new member of staff had some difficulty in working out which car we were supposed to take, and we ended walking up and down the car park as she decided, and it then took her 10 minutes to prepare the car for us (it could have been ready in advance as the exact pickup time was known and we were actually 30 minutes late, and we had booked weeks in advance). The drop-off was fantastic, drive up to a drop-off bay, someone waiting there to greet us, shook our hands, asked us if we had a good time, and dealt with everything super efficiently. He was incredibly polite and friendly and treated us like we were VIP customers. Everything was done within a few minutes and we hopped straight onto one of the waiting buses. Best service I have ever had, and I have rented LOTS of cars in my time. "

" I've got an automatic VW Golf diesel with ACC from 0 plus front and rear parking sensors. This was gold for someone who is not used to drive on the left side of the road. The only thing I've wished to have more, at least in first day, was the LKAS to keep me in the middle of the line because I had the tendency to get to close to the cars on my left. Anyway, at the end I've returned the car without any incident and the return path at Budget car park in Luton Airport is straight forward, you just have to follow the signs. "

They have a self check system and the car given to me was full of dents and scratches. It was a dark grey and on a cloudy dark day, difficult to see all the damage to mark up on the paperwork provided. Fortunately I found someone working there to sign off the damage. Showed the person receiving the car back that his colleague had signed off all damage and he immediately signed the car off as good. That was a big relief as I'd heard of bad experiences. Still waiting for deposit hold reversal to come through my credit card. "

As a consequence of the long wait time, the Hertz representative upgraded our pre-paid vehicle for the 10-day rental term. " - Easirent wanted to additionaly charge us £ 20 for supposedly having arrived after closing of their office, even though we arrived at 11.15 p.m. and according to the voucher office hours were 6 a.m. till midnight?! - In addition Easisrent ultimately pushed us to buy additonal excess insurance to waive 'maximum excess amount', even though we were already covered by your 'super cover' insurance. They 'threatened' us otherwise to pro-actively charge the £ 1'250 min. excess amount to my credit card. - Last but not least Easirent charged us with £ 30 for half full tank option, event though is was not part of our contract. Even though car was almost new (so no complain here), after all this rental was a pretty unsatisfactory experience for us! "
