I am requesting full refund of paid car hire given we were never given the car thanks to an arrogant employee at Easirent who, based on sympathy decided he was 'going to decide if you are getting the car or not'! i have booked several cars through your website which was always plainsailing but surely never again with Easinrent. We were also told that the refundable excess i paid for means basically nothing. i would be lucky if i get anything back in that way. we witnessed him argue and raise his voice and be rude to the young french couple before us , who were also in distress and were sent away without a car, for different reasons. Little did we know what was coming with this arrogant employee. Needless to say all my documents and credit card were in order, in fact he had processed a stg1600 deposit and we were also told oddly enough that if i hit a third party the car rental would end on the spot without replacement ! did he mean if it were a right off or just a small knock?! No ability to compromise. I also didn't appreciate the 95 pound deposit for full to full fuel or the small print saying you must fill up, with proof, within an hour of drop-off and within 5 miles. Also, the rental agreement they first tried to get me to sign didn't have the unlimited mileage I had chosen with Autoeurope. Finally, the shuttle from the airport had no signage and took half an hour to arrive. Took half an hour to get to the airport after drop-off too. "

On pick up they informed that scratches which don't go to paint are not worth nothing. On return some scratches were pointed out on rear side. If I was to hire the car it would have cost me over £150 for the 4 day hire as insurance cover ( even though I'd taken out extra insurance cover in the initial booking), which I could pay with my DEBIT CARD!!!!! The £150+ cover, incidentally , was more expensive than the car hire. RIP OFF!!!!! Went to Hertz in the end , one hour later we were on the road with a vehicle( paid for my partner's credit card with me as driver) at a cost of £122. In future I will not be using search engines, I shall phone up on airport car rental companies. "

The car given was faulty, had to call the AA out twice, then had to swap the car, then the second car was overdue its service and had constant warnings on the dash, then it was claimed I caused a scratch on the second car which I didn't but couldn't prove as the handover was done in the rain on the side of the road whilst dealing with the Aa and the previous faulty car so with no chance to check the real condition of the new car. " The single worst rental experience i've ever had. Short story: it took 2 hours for them to tell me they didn't have a car, but i could pay double to upgrade. I thought maybe it was just my bad luck. But i had plenty of time to discuss with others in the office while waiting. For a variety of stated reasons (different to mine), 3 other people declined to get a car under the 'new conditions' they were given. and several others walked away in disgust. The only nice thing i can say, was that the shuttle driver, went out of his way to drop me at the competitor car rental company - 15 minutes later i was on my way, in a better car for a lower cost. They claimed their system would only accept the card as a debit card and they could thus not secure a deposit. I then had to rent the car directly from Easirent and paying insurance - a total of £116.00 I had to pay on top of your rent of 75,17 Euro. When my Mastercard was inserted into their machine for payment of the £116, the machine clearly stated the card was a credit card. But to no avail. The car was fine but then when I arrived at Luton airport to drop it off, I discovered that Airparks is 4 miles from the airport! I will use Auto Europe again but will definitely not use Easirent again as their modus operandi is neither expedient or convenient. "

On return as it was an early drop off we were told to leave the car at a different place maple car parking. We then went to the original easirent office where a member of staff could not explain as he had only just started work with easirent. However the office was open at 5.35am and we were able to go via their shuttle bus. So why send us to a place where you cannot drop off in the first place. Not an easirent as their name implies!! "

The bus takes close to half an hour and only runs every 40 minutes. Inevitably it is loaded with fellow hirers which adds even more time to the rental process. I will not use them again. "
