" As described above, when I was late for my pick-up at Sixt, the company informed me that I had to deal with Auto Europe directly. Unfortunately, when I called Auto Europe in this time of need, I was told that there was nothing that could be done for me, and that I should have read the fine print, and that it was clear that this is a non-refundable booking and that nothing can be done for me. I was in disbelief that more than 500 Euros would just be down the drain, but when I repeatedly asked the Auto Europe assistant to help me, he said things like "you are not listening to me" and "you should have been there on time". Extremely unhelpful and condescending. I had paid, and I knew that it wasn't the fault of Auto Europe or Sixt, but I expected to be able to get some help, to get another car, or to pay a bit extra to get a car, or to get some money refunded. But nothing. My 500+ Euros were gone, and I had to make last-minute travel arrangements which cost me a ton. "
" I rented this vehicle through AutoEurope, with a pick-up time of 10.30am on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately we were delayed, and when we were on our way to the rental location at 11.40, I saw on Google that the Sixt location would close at 12.00. I knew right away that we would not make it in time to the location, so I called Sixt to say that we would be there at around 12.05 or 12.10. Unfortunately, Sixt informed me that the location would be closed and that they would not be able to assist me, and that I would be treated as a "no show" since I will not be there before the closure of the office, AND because I did not book through Sixt but rather through Auto Europe. So I was told to deal directly with Auto Europe on this. I immediately called Auto Europe, but the person that answered the phone was extremely unhelpful and very rude, telling me that it was my fault and that there was nothing he could do for me. I asked him to move the rental to another location (one that is open) but he said he could not do that. He said I had to deal directly with Sixt on this (but Sixt told me that I had to deal with Auto Europe, since my contract was with Auto Europe). After some back and forth, and with Auto Europe refusing to do anything to help me (even though I paid more than 500 Euros for the rental), I went to another Sixt location, but they also confirmed that since my contract was with Auto Europe, they would not be able to help me. In the end, I did not get a rental car from Sixt, and my 500 Euros were lost. Since I needed a car that day, I had to find alternate arrangements. I will likely never use Auto Europe or Sixt again, since this level of customer support is simply appalling. Travel delays are not uncommon, so to be this inflexible is simply not okay. "

Hence we had to pay extra for Full Damage Protection and Breakdown Cover at the SixT Counter on the top of Basic Protection. For second voucher (VOUCHER - #21023218), we were told that this voucher has been cancelled by AutoEurope. However, SixT were unable to provide any proof towards such cancellation, since the booking was done through a 3rd party, they simply refused to acknowledge the voucher and asked us to deal with AutoEurope directly regarding the same. Due to pressure of time and prevailing circumstances, we were left with no option but to directly book a vehicle with SixT on the spot. " Sixt charged extra money for crossing the boarder to Austria, however when we had a problem with a punctured tire, which was received in this condition from Sixt, the rental company didn't provide any assistance to help us to replace the car in Austria. Sixt put us under danger when we had to drive 300km from Austria to Munich with a punctured tire! When the car was received, the fuel tank was 3/8, and we returned the car with more fuel 4/8. Despite this we were charged 135Euro + VAT for the missing fuel. "

" I also had a very bad experience with auto europe, in the whole website it advertises for "free cancellation", even in the page of the van I was booking, was also says the same, when I asked the customer service for cancellation they said, for vans in july-august no cancellation. there was no warning in the booking page, even it said free cancellation. called customer service like 30 minutes after booking and they refused to cancel. I have no problem of the terms and conditions, but it shouldnt be written under the van I am renting free cancellation, but in the terms page, page 5 it says no cancellation "

I received a VW Golf Station wagon, not at all compact and not similar to an A class Mercedes. The drop off address in Munich provided was also wrong, wasting time and money going into paid parking lot where the return address was supposed to be. "
