" When I picked up the car, I was asked to present a credit Card for the deposit of €800. I did. Then, I was asked to present the Card again for a fuel-deposit of €220. THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED ON THE VOUCHER! Interrent blamed AutoEurope for this and instead of helping they fobbed me off to give you a call. My credit Card Limit was €1000, but I had three different Cards, €1000 each. Interrent insisted it to be the same Card! This is not mentioned on the Voucher or in the Terms and conditions of AutoEurope or Interrent! So it was impossible to do both Transactions. Cash as a fuel deposit was also not accepted. In order to achieve both, I had to insure the car (although it was insured over autoeurpe) for over 200€. So, instead of 150€ the car costed me 350€. Also, first desk-agent hardly spoke English, colleague was rude and contantly interrupted me. Only Manager knew how to deescalate and di a friendly Job, which did not Change anything. Terms and conditions of Interrent were only avail. in Portugese language. "

Despite the note to call them once you arrive at the airport, you do not have to, since the shuttle is circling around constantly. Check-in was a bit slow, speciallyt the car handover. Also, they tried to sell add-ins, like a diesel car, more insurance, this is normal, just be well informed before arriving at the agency, so you do not end up purchasing more than you need. Drop off can be very slow, be aware and go in with enough time. There was only a bad humoured girl checking the car condition, she was quite slow and there were already 3 cars waiting. Then you need to get the shuttle back to the airport, do not forget. The best of the personnel was the shuttle driver on February 4th, I believe his name was Daniel (?), great kid! "

" As described above, this was my worst experience after renting cars for many decades. Also, earlier InterRent has been OK. I have used it several times before. "
" After receiving the car and driving 10 km, the warning for low pressure in back left tire emerged. The tire needed refill during the cintrack, it leaked little, Also, it was clear that the car had not been cleaned and checked before giving it. It was dirty, there was almost no water for windshield wipers. Furthemore, the date for start of contact was wrong, and the fuel tank was supposed to be full. It was at 1/8 which I noted after 10 km driving. I filled the tank and complained to cs@interrent.es and sent a photo of the contract and the fuel bill to them. They replayed tellin that upon returning the car I should mention the incidence nr 1843886 and get the 7/8 worth fuel back. I did not get it, I was first told that I cannot get the money back. Then they said I should have come with 1/8 tank! Later, they told my case would be handled by their boss Nuno Martins who would send the money to my account next day. It did not arrive even on Tuesday. I am very disappointed with this matter, where I was first accused of wrong doing and the case could not be dalt at counter as cs@interrent.es suggested by writing: "we inform you that you need to take the receipt of the fuel to the office when you return the car, showing them the following incidence number: 1843886. " rented a car from Interrent from 24th June to 29th June 2018. I picked it up at 11pm at Lisbon Airport. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, my family and I were leaving Lisbon and a noise sounded in the car saying the engine was overheating and that I should stop the car. So I stopped the car and called the 24h assistance. After several callings and 2 hours of waiting, they send a taxi to take us to Algarve and a tow truck to take the car. We arrived in Algarve around 4 am on 25th June. We called the assistance again around 10 am to know what we should do about getting a new car. They offered to take us to a close rental place to get a new one, but since we did not want to delay anymore the plans for my parents anniversary that day we agreed on going there the next day, on 26th June, to get the car. So we ended up without having the car for one day due to this issue. In addition, I received two charges in two credit cards after returning the car: €42.79 were debited in the credit card I made the reservation and €77.05 was debited in the credit card I gave for the security deposit. When I returned the car, the man from reception told me the only thing they would charge me was €58 from the tolls. I chose Interrent to make the reservation of the car, because I thought it would be smooth, but I just had disappointment and trouble: with the first car, with the 24h assistance that left us for 2 hours in the middle of the road and gave us different information in each call, with the charges I was not supposed to receive after returning the car. "

" Calls with AutoEurope are long minutes of waiting, when passing to customer service the line dropped. I requested AutoEurope to tell me what was the charge of 106.4 eur, I had to fill forms to probably get this information (that I got from Interrent). I was told I will receive detailed infos about extra costs, nothing so far. Charged with about 90 euros for cleaning the car, speachless. To take money is easy, but to be fair seems to be really hard. "
" Pick-up: we rented a 9 place car (because we were 8 persons), the pickup from airport could take only 2 of us, than we had to come back to the airport to pick the rest. I didn't have my driving licence with me (my fault), we wanted to change the first driver, they said they cannot do it and if we reach AutoEurope it will take about 2 hours. So we ended up paying about 60 eur more Car was not ready, we had to wait about 40 minutes to pick it up, the whole process took more than 1 hour, while the kids and wifes were left in the airport to wait. Car had mechanical problem from the begining, it was difficult to put in reverse and the clutch pedal was staying half way (problems that could have been noticed by Interrrent before). In a few days the problem got worse, we had to replace the car. This means 4 hours lost from our vacation, spending gasoline to bring the problem car and return. And probably charged also for cleaning this car, which was hard to manouvre in order to take it to cleaning elseware. On top of that, we were charged with almost 90 euro for cleaning the car, amount that is not in the contract (it was stipulated that if we not return the vehicle with the interior cleaned "a cleaning fee of EUR 15 EUR will apply"). Also this amount is very high for a cleaning I hope the extra charge of 90 euros will be solved, I cannot accept this rubbery "

During drop of checking stuff said that we have made additional defects but it was not so. Defects was described at Portuguese, after asking description in English they said that it is impossible. " Directions for meeting car hire company were incorrect. We had to make 2 phone calls and lost at least 45 minutes of time due to the fact that these directions were incorrect. There are refurbishments taking place at Faro airport and this was not taken into account when giving us directions as to where to meet the representative of Interrent. "

" after we booked a car, we were called by auto europe about the fact that the rental company was not willing to go for the 'one way'. However de employee of auto europe gave us imediatly a good alternative with an other car rental. "
" it was hard to find them at the airport. There realy was no one with an hand held sign opposite the post office, as mentioned in the voucher. The way we we helped at the office, however was fine. To return the car (n Lisbon), the information in the voucher was nog correct either or not very clear. The voucher says "go to tourism info booth at arrivals for shuttle service. you are met with handheld sign". However the car had to be returned at the headquarters of Interrent, 3 km away from the airport. After asking several people, we were told this information. we almost couldn't make it to return te car on time. "

Office in Porto does not know nothing about office in Faro (do not know address where to return the car), they said you have to check internet how to find office in Faro :( Much much better service in Faro office. " Other than normal car rental companies, Auto Europa charges 23 euros for a so called administation fee. When booking your car online, Auto Europe gives a very good rate. But when you pick up the rental car, the car rental company (in my case Interrent) has to charge 23 euros for an administration fee, coming from Auto Europe. "

Although our flight to Lisbon landed later than the closing hours at around 01:00am. fortunately, an Interrent employee was awaiting us and we reached the InteRrent premises by shuttle. We were so able to get the rented car and start our trip in Portugal. Thank you for your professionalism. "
