" I was extremely pleased with Mr. Correia who was handling my pick-up reservation at Faro airport. I had troubles with my credit card (it's chip was apparently dead) but Mr Correia showed great patience and professionalism. He tried help me activate my credit card in various creative ways and showed care for me as a customer. In the end, he allowed me to even use debit card for pick-up (even though I understood that the general company policy is to stick with credit cards) to make sure that my trip with parents isn't ruined. " 1. Sixt didn't honor the insurance issued by Auto Europe. 2. Sixt doesn't help resolve the bridge toll issue I had being on the wrong lane with the auto pay option. A missed EUR 2 becoming EUR 25 and on top of it they added the service fee EUR 35 to it. "

" During the travel the sign "engine oil and service due now" appears. I call the assistant and he said to stop somewhere and buy any oil and when I return the car I will receive my money back. I asked what exactly to buy but he said to ask on the station. That's all. What a surprise. There were only women as me.. I spent 1 hour to read what I need for this car. Then wait for someone to help me. Anyway, I bought, I put 300ml. The sign appears again. On the next day I put the rest because the oil was on its minimum. I call again, the same answer. The service oil change is needed because the car is 30000km when return the car. So thanks God everything was OK. We return the car with no damages.On the desk they were really kind but said we can't give your money back because you didn't tell our VAT number. Who told me that I have to know and to say their VAT number? Why they make it so complicated? It's not just for the money. The question is principal. When someone rent a car /and pay full insurance/ he expect that those things are checked and don't have to think when you are on holiday.. What if you don't notice or you doesn't care? I still can not connect to customer service. "

They gave emphasis to the fact that the supercover was given by autoeurope, and in case of activation they would decline the obligation to contact autoeurope and only liaise directly with me. " The counter staff person was very good. The staff person providing the car was very bad. He didn't come out of the office with us to set up or inspect the car or pull the car out of the parking area. It was dark and we did not notice a damage mark at the left door lock area. A scratch and indentation above the door lock. We left the office thinking everything was ok. When we found the damage we immediately emailed the office about the damage and was told they would forward the email to the receiving staff. When we returned the vehicle the receiving person did not inspect the vehicle with us and the receiving location was crammed with cars returning and was understaffed. they essentially pushed us out the door. We were billed for the door damage and the bill was written in Portugise so we could not understand what the items were specifficly and respond to them. they did not acknowledge our email about the door damage and just charged us. The car ran fine. The GPS did not function so an english speaker could list the addresses and find thee location we were looking for. "
