I understand that but the car was rented for 3 days and the agency knew from the first day that we would not arrive. so I am very unhappy because the service did not take place and the money was taken. Despite the booking being made under a non-refundable rate, you should to negotiate with the supplier to minimize charges to only one day and refund for the cost of two days "

The booking email needs to be clearly set out with name of rental company and where they are located in the airport, a phone number for the booking company and their office hours "

" Car they gave was was in terrible condition - underbody cover was loose, I could see that when they brought the car. After complaining about that, they said it's no problem, and they don't have another car for us. So we agreed to go with this car, but after driving it for a few meters we had to turn around, the cover was scratching on the tarmac permanently, and making lots of noise. After lots of discussion with a kinda unfriendly agent, we got another car. It was also in pretty bad shape, but at least not falling apart. Whole thing took us more than an hour... "

" Overall experience with ILHA Verde on the various Azores islands was very different. Some of the staff was very friendly, some fairly rude, cars in general are full of scratches and some were really at the end of their life... "

Due to this fact there was an option to buy insurance at the place of pick up for next 150 euro or cancelled car rental without refund (260 e). It was not acceptable from my side and after many try the terminal for credit card started work properly - was it fortuity?But at the and of the day everything went smooth and we enjoyed our trip within rented car. " Would not use this company again. We did ask for another car but were told one wasn't available. "
" Staff at desk were very pleasant and friendly. Not too long a wait to do paperwork and pick up the car. Didn't get the grade of car we had reserved (Renault Clio). Other customers were receiving nice new shiny cars. Instead were given a really beaten up Nissan Micra (2016 vintage). Told that was all that was available to us. When marking up the existing damage on the car, it was easiest just to mark all 4 sides of the car on the plan and right up and down each side. Never seen such damage on a hire car in my life. Big dents, bent number plate, scratches and scuff markes everywhere, someone had clearly smacked the front and side into something in a previous rental. Added to this, tyre underinflation light came on during our rental. Maybe it was because Ilha Verde were acting as your agents rather than us approaching them directly (which would have cost more money for the rental). "

Suggestions: When a person rents a car with AutoEurope and is hit by another car and the responsibility is of the other car, the person that rented a car with AutoEurope should not be charged of any expense (in South Africa I was charged 150 even if my responsibility was null!) When you buy a ful protection with the car you rent, this info should be quite clear ALSO to the local car rental in order to avoid useless sales of additional protections (in Sao Miguel I bought the protections with AutoEurop and then my wife bought it again with keddy/EuropCar!!). The cars I received in Tercera island in the Azores from Ilha verde had both awfully worn down tires: it is your risk "

The second car they gave me was a ore recente Mazda 2 but always with worn down tire (but in slight better conditions). I could finally drve away only 2 and a half hours after I had landed in the Terceira Airport !!! "

They should provide more staff to cope with the flow of customers as it looks like they have a near monopole at the airport. The waiting was really long and the car return was lengthy too. We nearly missed our flight as we had to go and queue again at the counter for deposit refund. Most car rental companies are happy to dal with this at the drop off point. "
