The tank was so full that the benzin started to flow out of the car tank, so I assume the meter is wrong in the car. He said that the car is not yet checked in, so he doesn't see the full details, but recorded my issues to the rental and told me if I get any charge on my card write and email. Altogether with the previous waiting (point 3), it took us an entire hour for us to leave the garage. 3. The car keys were not at the office at the pick-up time, we had to wait until they were brought to us (from the garage I guess). 4. The car was not very clean at pick-up, it was clear that it had only had a quick wash. 5. The car's doors did not shut/lock well, especially the back hatch had problems locking properly. Even my 13 years old car's doors work better. "

After some time and me asking if again it's possible to fuel up the car in a normal gas station and return it in 5 minutes, he agreed and moved ONE car. At the end I'm happy that he did this, but this is not a normal service, why at the first place you would like to screw a customer so much with the fuel prices? Constantly had to switch to a lower gear, otherwise the car was losing speed. So the trip back was terrible. With me was a small child. " Otherwise I was quite happy but I got some very essential disinformation at counter as I received the car. I had asked for manual Ford Focus and received an automate Jeep. This was all fine but the staff member said that the fuel is diesel. Also that would have been ok. We had a long talk about diesel prizes in comparison to gasoline and how to start a diesel engine. Therefore it was a big surprise as we realized that it was NOT a diesel car - because it was impossible to refill (fortunately!!) the car. We got the correct information from a bypasser at the station and confirmed it by calling at Herz help center. Later during our trip we had again problems with gasoline because there were several "Super" gasolines available. Another call to the Herz help center. Third time I encounterd the same problem as I was driving the car 5.30 am to the airport for the drop-off. My daughterr (who speaks fluent German) had taken care all the "gasoline discussions" during our trip and refuellings. So as I was for the first time alone in the car I couldn't fill the tank before the drop off. All this trouble was caused because we were told at the first place that it was a diesel car. With a petrol car I would have asked in detail which gasoline to put in in Germany and in France. I've rented a car abroad before and I've learned that it is the issue no I. Now I didn't ask that because diesel is diesel everywhere. I've sent information about this to Herz, too. And also a request that I will not be charged for the refilling as an operation because the tank was not full at the airport. " I have sent a claim along with complete documents for the excess charges levied to me by Hertz due to cracked wind screen amounting to 777.59 Euros. Request early refund of the amount as full insurance coverage was taken at the time of booking. "

" At the Herzt counter, staff found my reservation from Autoeurope was incorrected year. It was my fault. It shall be modified at the moment for pick up in the next morning. Once I modified at night, I can selected E-class in the list of Hertz (provided by Autoeurope). But once I picked up in next morning. There was only 1 car (C-class) available at Hertz. It wasn't my fault. But I just a bit unwilling picked up. Before I picked up. The year still incorrect at Hertz. Autoeurope just told me that their system was changed to 2018. But Hertz still saw 2019 in monitor. I didn't know whom data was incorrected. Then Autoeurope resent the new booking with corrected year and I can picked up as well. I think some problem happen about data interfaced between Autoeurope and Hertz in modify procedure with different year. So, I think I got C-class with unfair rate. I brought same debit card when I came to pick up booked car and give deposit for car I was refused with explanation that HERTZ don't accept debit cards. When I called Auto Europe to ask for refund. I was refused with comment that I should terms and conditions.I understand that you accept only credit cards but I don't understand why You charged my debit card if you don't accept them. " First of all we would like to thank Autoeurope for the great service they offer. Unfortunately the car rental experience with Hertz Ludwigsburg however was very disappointing and left much to desire, to be polite and to say the least. We had booked a Ford Focus (or similar) due to the fact that we had to drive some distances for customer visits. Upon collecting the ordered (and confirmed) vehicle Hertz could only offer a Ford Fiesta or Mercedes Viano (8-seater) since no other car was available. Both cars were not an option so Mr. Pezzulla was asked to use the 8 seater and to collect a different car the next day from another city, ie Heilbronn (!). Hertz kept on saying that they tried to contact Mr. Pezzulla to inform him on the mobile number provided however failed to reach him (please note that no calls where ever received from Hertz on his mobile and it should have not made a difference anyway since Hertz failed to fulfill the agreement). To top it all up the 8-seater was not even handed over with a full tank as Mr. Pezzulla drove 50km and had to refuel the car with 11Liters of Diesel. Needless to say that no future car hire bookings will be made with Hertz Ludwigsburg as we cannot risk wasting time and money for a company failing to provide a service it is being paid for and definitely for not treating customers the way they should be. For easier reference please see the attached car hire voucher. We kindly ask you to look into it in order for future customers to be spared to go through the same. "

I somewhy forgot that even if I buy Super Cover with Zero Excess I have to pay for damage to local hire company and only afterwards create a claim to AutoEurope. And because of that I have some arguing with Hertz on place because their invoice included too many rows and the total sum was much bigger than I expected. So that required some explaining. But the car and ride were great and returning was also smooth. OK, I was in small (Weeze) airport too and there was no queues. "
