" The contract I received from auto europe was completely different from budget's. My late fee (for 45mins) jumped from 15euros to 50 euros. No transparency in how insane the vat is. I have no idea what they did, but 1 year ago a had a very smooth rental with Budget using the same card at the same pick-up point. I suggested them to hold complete excess amount instead of just checking it but they didn't agree. In fact I wasted 1 hour at a counter and all the discussions ended with "you must buy total protection insurance to reduce excess to zero, otherwise you won't get a car". " I have been struggling with Budget. The reservation details were not effectively in the Budget system from Auto Europe. After waiting 30 minutes to speak to my agent it took another 30 minutes to complete the rental process. I paid 1224 euro to Auto Europe un February but Budget had 1189 euro in there system. When i picked up the vehicle i asked if i would be able to return the car early. I was told that was not a problem and that i would be given a credit for the early return When i returned the vehicle 2 days early i asked for a receipt and was told that it would be emailed to me and that there was no issues, i never did receive the bill. Upon looking at my Visa statement I was charged 2664 euros When i called Budget i was told because i returned the vehicle two days early I was being charged a daily rate for my rental. I told Budget that the counter staff told me that i would get a credit for the early return, not cost more. By returning two days early my bill went from 1309 euros to 2664 euros. Had i know i would have simply just kept the vehicle the extra two days. I called Budget to resolve the issue and they said they would look into the matter. They closed my case with no action and continued to charge my card 2664 for a 12 day rental. I have called them back and reopened the case. I am very disappointed with this customer experience. "

Very shocking to me, as I did not cause any damage to the vehicle, but on the contrary have been very poorly attended from start to finish by the company, and now have to go in the concern to solve matters involving the great lack of professional ethics of this company, and great disrespect for the customer. This is a total lack of respect for the customer because they did not check the car with me when I was delivered at Lisbon airport on July 16, 2018, they only gave me the key and pointed me to the location of the car in the parking lot. Surprisingly, when I got to the car, the deposit was a bit of fuel, and the contract that I had signed later mentioned full, also mentioned two scratches in the vehicle on the right and left side, which I noticed that they already existed before the car came to my hands. After four days of delivery of the vehicle, I received a shocking email of acts that I did not do in any way, such as damages to the car (scratch of the right side that already existed), presented in this email false invoices of 565.76 euros that do not concern me . Much more crime on their part if the above charge is made to my credit card. Having nothing more to talk directly with this company, I have sent this matter to the General Consumer Council, and to the Arbitrary Council. And after this emai to you another will also be sent to Trip Advisor. "
