" Good value for the rental we received. Information on how to connect with Benerent was unclear. The car rental is not at the airport but offsite. We stayed in Lisbon several days prior to renting the car and if we had the car rental address we could have avoided some hassle and saved some time. "
" Overall very good. Agent tried to move us away from the car we rented even though it was sitting there ready. Car was almost new and we have a very good rate locked in. When we turned it in he tried to claim damage on the bumper that he had marked as there when we picked up the car. Once he realized I was going to hold him to the sheet as marked he processed us out. " I booked a car for one week from BENERENT, VW Polo or similar and received a Fiat Punto with 45 000 km on board. I called the people at BENERENT when we arrived at the meeting point in the airport, and someoane came for us in 10 minutes and took us to the car (5 min trip from the airport). At the reception everything was ok, the car was inspected properly and I hit the road. During the rental the car behaved well and I have not encountered any problems. At the return, the car was checked and then they took us back to the airport. Although I chose renting with ZERO EXCESS, they block on the card the amount of 600 EUR which was unlocked 2-3 days after the return of the car. "

" I would not say that I am too satisfied with their support! If you have an issue abroad it can be really upsetting to explain it to a couple of different people and then they just put you through to another (European) support line in Germany where the line is so bad and SILENT (every time I called!) that you have to find some really silent place to hear at least a word! Finally they could not help me too much with the rent-a-car company either but at least arranged another car (within the confines of a new contract of course). The price for the first car has still not been reimbursed! "
" One of the WORST experiences I have ever had! The lady at the gas station had put the wrong fuel in the car! After calling Benerent they told ME to take care of it with the insurance! I had to arrange MYSELF the whole assistance that THEIR car could be towed away to THEIR mechanic, on the phone where nobody wants to speak english! The only help we had got came from the gas station crew! As soon as you have a problem YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT ANY SUPPORT from Benerent! We had FULL INSURANCE btw, called Super Peace of Mind (SPM) saying that it covers this reparation as well! The next day as we visited them personally they had already changed their mind!!! We have lost 2 days of our holidays and also the whole locked amount on our card! NEVER AGAIN "
" Can't believe Auto Europe switched us from a known company, Avis, to Benerent, a bare bones seemingly fly--night operation, in order to make sure our car had air conditioning. Our first really bad experience in 25 years. But it was bad. "

Nobody there at scheduled return time, gate locked, 20 minutes late - again twice my calls weren't answered. This is a bare-bones operation. I would tell anyone Don't use Benerent. I don't trust it. " We did not have the car at all. Benerent asked from us not only our credit card number (which is normal), but the CCV code. They did not have a POS machine at the office and acted somehow nervous when asking for our credit card details. We did't want to leave them with CCV code details, we asked them to block the deposit amount in front of us, but they refused by saying we'll do it later from our office it's "company policy". They acted suspicious, and because of not letting them write down our CCV number they refused to give us the car. We had to pay new rental from Europcar where everything was perfect - they block the deposit in front of you, nobody asks for CCV code. "
