Sixt does not explain that Blink Charging does not accept non-US credit cards and the other few chargers (almost not fast chargers) are inside parkings so the cost itself it is not much, but the cost of the PK is huge. " Rented at Phoenix, AZ Airport in early December 2023. The Good: - Speed of Processing - New Vehicle Things to improve: - There is no vehicle walk through with an agent on the pickup or a drop off. They send you everything in the email but you can't identify all deficiencies in agent's presence. - There's only one Sixt location in Arizona. Our tire caught a nail in Flagstaff and they could not send anyone to replace it. They did not even recommend a local authorized shop to do it. We did replace the tire and got compensated for it but we had to waste 3.5 hours on that. They should really be better prepared. "

" It was the cheapest rate but not worth the aggravation of worrying about being stopped by police with no car rental or insurance documents inside the car. I was quite upset driving the car out of the car rental lot. "
" Check in was difficult. 1. I was sold a package described as "insurance" but it was really "roadside assistance". 2. They produce no paper documents or receipts. All correspondence are sent to email. I had no insurance card or certificate inside the car. I had no proof of car rental inside the car. 3. The credit card authorization amount included the original pre-pay amount. I thought I was being double charged. I had to log in to my credit card website to see the actual amount deducted. 4. Picking up the car, the employees refused to look at the scratches with me, saying that they had already looked at it and that it would be in the email (which turned out not to be true as I never saw any documentation of a car inspection.) " At pick up SIXT refused to accept the VISA card, that I had used for the booking through Auto Europe, in order to charge the deposit! They said that because the card did not Have in writing my full First and Last name they could not accept it due to their policy!!! The card indicated my name as "E GAVRIELATOS" and my full name is EFSTATHIOS GAVRIELATOS!!!! This was never indicated during reservation or at the Voucher!!! All my credit cards issued by all big banks in Greece are like this and were always accepted by rental companies in Europe with not ever any problem!!!They said that only if we put another driver as additional driver then we could use the credit card of the second driver!!! My wife who was with me had a credit card with her full name but did not have an international drivers license so they could not accept her!!! I tried calling AutoEurope but due to time difference there was no customer rep to answer the phone!!!!! SIXT told us to Look at other companies in the airport terminal that would accept our credit card!!! We checked with a couple of them and they were asking for 2000€ for same car!!!!! Our vacation was ruined if we had not had relatives in Chicago!!! We called them and had to add one of my cousins as an additional driver paying 237$ for nothing!!!!! Just so that we can use her credit card for the deposit!!!! They also refused to accept cash or a Revolut VISA card!!!!! So if we did not have any relatives in Chicago we would have to cancel our reservation and book something on the spot for double the money!!!!! SIXT representative told us that they have similarly declined many customers arriving from EUROPE!!!!! As in Europe it is almost standard that first name is not in full on the credit cards this is an outrageous requirement from SIXT and definitely not something explicitly mentioned on the terms during reservation!!!! I am expecting an official response from AUTOEUROPE as we are clients for many years and this time the experience was horrible and nearly ruined our vacations in the US!!!!! "

" Sixt divided the long-term rental period into two periods with two contracts (28 dayds and 11 days). This made the overview of entire costs etc. very untransparent and unnecessarily complicated. Even the counter staff seemed unable to explain how the total costs added up. "
