" -The car that I had booked was not available (or any other similar) -I accepted to hire a car of lower category that was suggested by Sixt employee (Golf) -The employee rudely asked me to provide a residential address in ''another country'', as he did not believe that the one (Swiss) I provided was mine -Without any other discussion from the staff, I signed electronically a contract thinking that I had hired a Golf. -When I went to the garage I realised I had rented a Mercedes A-Class. Checking the contract that was sent to my email I also realised that the amount I had previously paid Autoeurope for the car rental had been increased. 1. I booked a car paying a very expensive rate - I would expect any change on the booking, that would be necessary due to the company's inability to provide the agreed vehicle, would be at their expense and not mine. 2. This culture of bad and impolite customer service is very outdated. I am very curious to hear what measures does Autoeurope take against such practices and whether these measures are any effective. "

" Bad fleet, poor service. Booked a Mercedes sedan, suggested a large Mitsubishi SUV instead that would never be convenient for the city. I was told that the closest car to the Mercedes was a SKODA Kamiq and accepted it since I wanted a convenient car for the city. No power windows at the back!! Had to go to the airport 2 days after to beg for another car instead and gave me a BMW 1 series. No one was there during the SKODA pickup(4 minutes after close time at the airport) and couldn't show some damages on the SKODA that were not on the contract. Showed them the day we changed it with the BMW, assured that there will be no charges since we had the photos with date and time, but on the return contact these were mentioned as NEW DAMAGE. Will continue to rent with HERTZ, AVIS and Europcar as I did all these years problem free. "
