" I ended up not taking the car at all. At the Alamo counter they said they can't do anything about it because AutoEurope have my money and an AutoEurope rep told me they can't do anything because they have to pay Alamo in full. I was charged the full amount even though I basically had a confirmed booking for about 6 hours and cancelled my order at the Alamo counter at the time of pickup. "

" This culture of bad and impolite customer service is very outdated. I am very curious to hear what measures does Autoeurope take against such practices and whether these measures are any effective. "
" -The car that I had booked was not available (or any other similar) -I accepted to hire a car of lower category that was suggested by Sixt employee (Golf) -The employee rudely asked me to provide a residential address in ''another country'', as he did not believe that the one (Swiss) I provided was mine -Without any other discussion from the staff, I signed electronically a contract thinking that I had hired a Golf. -When I went to the garage I realised I had rented a Mercedes A-Class. Checking the contract that was sent to my email I also realised that the amount I had previously paid Autoeurope for the car rental had been increased. 1. I booked a car paying a very expensive rate - I would expect any change on the booking, that would be necessary due to the company's inability to provide the agreed vehicle, would be at their expense and not mine. 2. This culture of bad and impolite customer service is very outdated. I am very curious to hear what measures does Autoeurope take against such practices and whether these measures are any effective. "

" very good pricing and smooth booking process. the only glitch was when i tried to amend the pick up time (bring forward in 2 hours) and auto europe representative told me he would have to cancel my reservation and make a new one (this is no complaint to the service received at all, but to show how not flexible the process is). " Bad fleet, poor service. Booked a Mercedes sedan, suggested a large Mitsubishi SUV instead that would never be convenient for the city. I was told that the closest car to the Mercedes was a SKODA Kamiq and accepted it since I wanted a convenient car for the city. No power windows at the back!! Had to go to the airport 2 days after to beg for another car instead and gave me a BMW 1 series. No one was there during the SKODA pickup(4 minutes after close time at the airport) and couldn't show some damages on the SKODA that were not on the contract. Showed them the day we changed it with the BMW, assured that there will be no charges since we had the photos with date and time, but on the return contact these were mentioned as NEW DAMAGE. Will continue to rent with HERTZ, AVIS and Europcar as I did all these years problem free. "

" I got from Autoeurope a special promo deal voucher for a compact automatic car with comprehensive insurance for 518.89 euro that was not honored by Europcar and overcharged me with 171.89 chf for no reason claiming your insurance package is not enough for the given car, when at the collection station at P51 their were similar cars as per my order. Something is off, what shall I do next time as returning customer ? Please feedback me. "

They have upgraded to a luxury hybrid car, that does not fit my garage ,charge extra excess insurance 171.89 chf , take it or loose the voucher. extra excess insurance 171.89 chf , by stating take the deal or lose the voucher.It happened Friday night no manager to talk with and a long drive ahead. At the collection station at P51 I succeeded to trade to a smaller car manual but could not get 171.89chf refund back. Asked the person at the counter what the numbers on the agreement meant and he told me it was a bond including petrol in case we didn't fill up in the end. Upon returning the car I had to pay another 200 swiss Francs for the unnecessary insurance. "

I showed them the confirmation document from Auto Europe, and I was told that the confirmation # did not exist. Another agent looked over the computer and told us that there was nothing they could do and that we had to get in touch with the company. Luckily, the agent who then attended to us persisted on getting in touch with Auto Europe and he got it resolved. Thank goodness! "

" I had booked for a Ford Mondeo SW and I received an Opel Mokka. I was travelling for leisure with my family and I clearly needed a SW since I have two small children plus the luggage including mine and my wife's. So the car was really not up to the standard I was expecting from Hertz. "

When I returned the car there were some scratches on back passenger side door and now I am being charged based on the estimated cost which is very costly (1270 Franc excluding admin cost of 70 Franc). I look forward to Auto Europe kind assistance to help negotiate for a reasonable charges on the repair cost. "

" Receptionist was friendly and helpful, it took less than 20 minutes to get the keys. However, the car was all in scratches and bumps, so it took some time to register all of them with the garage man. It also had more than 50k kms. Expected Hertz to do better than this. "
