" It was a good experience with Auto Europe in terms of helping to compare and contrast the pricing of the different companies and car availability, but it would also be good if there was info on these additional potential charges from the various car companies in case some are more reasonable than others. "
" There were additional charges for any adjustments, if we added a driver, if we took it across the border even though we were in SWI and we were given an Austrian car. We thought we had paid already for full coverage insurance and then were told there would be yet ANOTHER charge to ensure full coverage insurance. This is not how you gain customer loyalty. "

" I'm sorry to say that I am completely dissatisfied with how this rental went. There is little to no chance that I will use your platform again! In Basel, I was given a car from a lower class than the one I paid for! I received a Skoda Octavia instead of a Peugeot 3008. Moreover, when I requested a car from the class I had actually reserved, I was told that the Skoda was in the same class, and that if I wanted an SUV, I would need to pay an additional 210 euros. I was also told that I am not actually a Budget customer, but a customer of AutoEurope, and that any complaints should be addressed to those I paid. I showed the lady assisting me an informational note I found via ChatGPT on Budget's website, which clearly stated that the two cars are not in the same class. She mocked me and loudly told her colleagues, in English, that I was stupid for trying to prove this using ChatGPT. She then made some racist comments in French about my Romanian nationality. This lady is a disgrace to Budget, and I see no reason to ever work again with companies that tolerate such behavior! Not to mention, I was given a station wagon with a broken trunk cover that couldn't close and rattled the entire 7-day rental! I have photos of this issue. The car had Austrian license plates, like many other vehicles in the Budget parking lot. I saw other Skoda Octavias--probably without technical problems--as well as cars from the category I actually paid for (like a Volvo XC40 or a Skoda Kodiaq), for which I can also provide photos. I went back to the counter and asked to be given a different car, but the lady told me that there was no other car available for me! A week before this rental, I booked a car through your platform for four days from Geneva Airport. Everything went perfectly there! It's a real shame that such collaborators damage your image. It seems they still don't respect your brand. Honestly, this has never happened to me in the dozens of times I've rented cars through Rentalcars! "

That there is a law from January 2024, that I need to pay this if I travel to other than Switzerland european countries (crossing Swiss border). This was unexpected payment, that I managed to avoid, but want to ask autoeurope for clarification!! "

" I paid 413 Euro for my car rental from 10 jqn till 18 jan.I arrived in zurich on the 10th and foundout they had made an admin error and thought i had only hired the car for 2 days.This was sorted out but now when i return the car at the correct time with a full tank they are charging me an additional 200 euro.I do not know what this is for and they keep answering me in german on my query of this.PLEASE ASSIST. "

" My experience with budget personnel was great. Everything went very quickly. I was just not very happy with the car itself. It was not very clean inside when I picked it up and the car was extremely basic. For a Mercedes, I was expecting much more than a simple transporter. The passenger could not even be moved at all! Not very comfortable for a 10 day road trip. "

" This is the second time that this cross-border fees fraud happens during a car rent, it takes months to get money back from AutoEurope because they're overloaded. "

" Was tricked into purchasing another insurance which I had already purchased through Auto Europe even though I specifically mentioned not wanting an insurance. Asked the person at the counter what the numbers on the agreement meant and he told me it was a bond including petrol in case we didn't fill up in the end. Upon returning the car I had to pay another 200 swiss Francs for the unnecessary insurance. "

I have asked her twice to do so and she has reluctantly checked the car and only told me that all is ok and that I can go. However, you (Budget) have taken an unauthorized CHF78.58 from my credit card for some reason?? Unacceptable!! "

" I was delayed departing as the car didn't have the Swiss highway sticker. I brought up the issue to the Budget staff in the parking, initially said it's there without even checking. I had to check again the windscreen for more than 2 minutes just to confirm again that there is no highway sticker. Finally he checked and apologized for that and that I have to go back to the counter to get a sticker. "

" I liked the car which ws given but what i didnt like is that i was asked to put a deposit of CHF 3500 which i didnt had since i was on tour and i had taken full insurcance at the time of booking the vehicle and since i didnt had the deposit amount i had to forcefully buy another insurance for Budget for CHF 585 which screwed me completely and because of this i will not rent the vehicle from you guys and also put this blog on social media so that other tourists like me are not screwed A tourist wont be able to put such a huge amount of deposit when they r on vacation on a smaller budget and if Autoeurope is ted up with budget then they should not have this clause to put deposit "
