Save on your next car rental booking

In this post, we wanted to update you on all the different ways you can save on your next rental car booking when you book with Auto Europe. You may already know that all our prices are discounted from the start, but did you know that as a member you can save additionally and get exclusive promo offers, and that if you subscribe to our newsletter, you get even more discounts? In addition to these benefits, you can also find other offers on our website like free upgrades, offers inclusive of GPS, additional drivers and our special Gold Rate.

Free upgrades

Car rental companies periodically provide free upgrades for bookings made through Auto Europe. These can be either an upgrade to a larger car category or to a category with better equipment. In other words, if you have booked a car in the Economy category, you can get a car in the Compact category. If the car category you booked does not have A/C, the upgrade may mean you get this feature. Offers that have an upgrade are clearly marked with 'Free Upgrade'. The upgrade takes place locally when you pick up the car.

GPS included

We all know how convenient it is to have a GPS when driving in a completely new place in a completely new country. In normal cases, you need to ask for a GPS separately when you rent a car, and also pay for it locally when you pick up the car. Fortunately, some rental companies have offers where GPS is included in the price, which means you don't have to pay anything on the spot. These offers are clearly marked with 'GPS included' on the booking engine.

Free additional driver

When travelling with other people, it is always more convenient to share the drive. In normal cases, you always pay for an extra driver on site. To save money on your trip, we recommend that you check out our offers that include an additional driver in the price. These are marked with 'Free additional driver'.

Offers in the US and Canada

Gold rate is a bundle of offers in one that is only valid in the US and Canada. For example, there may be a tank of fuel and three extra drivers included in the price. These offers can be found clearly in our booking engine. Read our Gold Rate page to learn more about these offers.

Free Winter tyres

If you are planning to rent a car in winter we recommend that you look out for our offers which include winter tyres at no additonal cost. During your online booking, simply look for the special packages that display "Winter Tyres Included". Once you pick-up your vehicle the supplier will supply you with a car rental with winter tyres at no extra cost. Not all suppliers come with our winter deal; it is therefore required to select our special seasonal package during your online booking. Doing so will save you time, money and provide that extra relief of knowing you'll be prepared for winter driving.
