When I rejected a such old car with likely less reliability she reverted as follows: "this is what you get when you hire with a broker and not with Sixt directly". In order to get a reliable car I had to add Euro 38.08 as an upgrade to your booked car ! Then only I got A relatively Kia Stonic car, same class as hired with you. This is a shame and should not be tolerated ! In this case no reason to work with Auto Europa. I request that you please address Sixt and make sure Im refunded with Euro 38.08. The rental doc. indicating the extra Euro 38.08 paid for "upgrade" to this previously ordered level car is with me and I am willing to send you a scan of it. They informed me that this was not possible, because this could be problematic in case of damage (they might not be able to get the full excess amount). I also proposed to pay the 200 euros in cash, which they could simply reimburse to my credit card at the end of the rental period. This would pose no risk to Sixt, but still this was not possible. Zero flexibility! They could only offer to sell me additional insurance so that the excess would be lower. I felt the situation was being abused to sell me extra services that I did not need nor want. The extra insurance increased the cost of the rental by about 50%, so this is not insignificant! I was confident that Auto Europe would be able to help me with this situation. Not only was the person I got on the line unhelpful, she was also rude and condescending. This will be the last car rental I book through Auto Europe. "

" On Saturday 4/6 we picked up a car from the Sixt booth at the LCA airport. Our reservation number was A42-170661, and 842170661 made through AutoEurope. This booth was the appointed service desk for the company I booked the car, which was GetYourCar company. Long queue and delays: Unfortunately, we discovered that the waiting time was almost one hour to be serviced, because there were only two people at the desks, and many people in this booth. Had I known that it takes so long to take a car from your agents, I would have booked from another company and pay some extra money. Exorbitant amounts to bind on the card: At the desk, the agent asked that the company has to place a hold on my credit card for 900(!) euros, just in case of accidents etc. I understand that this was said in the agreement of the car, but that was not explained clearly when I did the booking. Therefore, a renter that books a car with GetYourCar and does not have a credit card with at least 900 euros extra to spare, is hopelessly left in the company's mercy on what to do at payment / desk moment. As the employee explained to me, this was for not taking the full insurance, and for incidentals I would have to pay that can go up to this cost. Hidden extras and over the top charges: My credit card company rejected the charge try, and I was left hanging with two options: Either to pay full insurance of the vehicle for 128 euros extra, and be allowed to pay with my debit card the hold of 900 euros, or leave the desk after an hour of waiting and with no car. Also, the agent said we could not change the name of the reservation to my girlfriend that could try her credit card. Also, the agent said he could apply a small discount by removing some charges, and charge me only 104 for the insurance. Question: if i was going to pay extra for full insurance, why did I have to have an extra 900 euros reserved on my card?? This was not answered by the employee who said talked to the company instead. Given the late hour and delays all through, i asked the agent to charge me the insurance he said and proceed. Unfortunately, the agent lied to me, since he ended up changing me 187.54 euros. This was unexpected but could not do anything about it since i had committed and signed the documents and had to leave. Non full gas tank: Then, I picked up the car and right after exiting the airport, I realized the tank was not even full, but instead about 6-7/8. However, I was forced to pay a full tank, and do the policy full to empty. I find this policy mischievous and just there to steal money from people. How does the rental company expect the renter to return the car empty? Do they realize how inconvenient this is, besides that the renter by construction will lose whatever money of gas is left in the tank, above empty? Mind you that when I returned the car, I had 1/4 of tank left, that of course I would not be compensated for. Quality of car: The car I received was of less quality than expected, and definitely not after the treatment i received at the desk. The car was already second hand, meaning it was already used for many years before me. The rubber around the doors was old and sticky to the touch and left black marks to anything that touched. Two of my guests that were in my car got a trousers and a shirt destroyed because the rubber came off on those and cannot be removed with regular means. We had to pay special laundry cleaning service to remove it costing 30 euros a piece. Extension of rental agreement: I ended up keeping the car for another day, for which i phoned the company about and verbally agreed to the extra charge (23 euros). Mind you that the rental agreement was returned to me over email by listing 200+ euros as an overall cost. I understand that this is for the total of the rental, but at the moment of receival this was not stated. Proposal: you should clearly explain to the renter the charges they will receive, etc. Summary: All in all, i found the experience with Sixt and its sister/subsidiery company GetYourCar to be below par and the quality I expecting from a company like Sixt. It was based on pushing the renter into inconveniently signing, after long waiting times, no options or alternatives unless they could cost the renter extra money and no facilitation whatsoever. Also, the agent was disingenuously saying they would charge me only 104, but ended up charging me 188 euros, and not really explaining why or details about it. Finally, the car was not full, though I paid for a full gas tank. And the car was below par of quality and expectation. "

" As per your condition, i had to deposit 900 Euro at counter via credit card but unfortunately I did not had enough amount in my credit card but I have asked to pay from debit card or from another name credit card but he was not agree because of your/their policy. Finally he had given me another 112 Euro extra insurance + 100 Euro deposit. I did not have any choice so I did this. But till date I did not receive my 100 Euro Deposit, still it is sawing in my credit card reserved.... Second thing by mistake while booking we have selected fuel tank with full and return empty but I have requested him to change that at time of return fuel tank should be full...... but he said he can not do because we have booked with you like this (bring fuel tank empty one) but in another case, he had offered to me another big car instead of this small car with higher price so I told him that you can not change fuel condition but you can change completely another car than we booked and for that you don`t have any problem in your policy. because to change car he had benefit with higher rent in fuel he don`t have anything..... so he did not co-operate. my remarks is that they can changed if they have benefit or else no...... Same time one my friend booked car for him via you and he has take car from Europe car and he had same problem about credit card balance but Europe car had given him extra insurance in 84 Euro only but here they told me they have only 112 Euro insurance, if i wish i can take or i can contact you.........
