Frankfurt Main Airport consists of three terminal buildings. There are two main terminals and a smaller terminal which hosts only Lufthansa First Class passengers. There is currently a third main terminal under construction - due to be completed in 2026. There is an automated shuttle service that connects both the two main terminals. Unlike most airports, services are organised based on the airline and not based on domestic or international destinations.
Terminal 1 can officially handle around 50 million passengers and is subdivided into four individual halls - A, B, C and Z. The terminal is spread over three floors with the top floor dedicated to departures, level one is dedicated to arrivals and level -1 is dedicated to transport and parking facilities. Terminal 2 is smaller with an official max capacity of around 15 million passengers. It is subdivided into two halls - D and E. Together the airport has around 146 boarding gates and 62 jetways.
Frankfurt Main Airport provides all the necessary facilities you would expect from a large international European airport. Along with all the facilities for a safe and secure onward flight, the airport also has plenty of amenities for a pleasant visit. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and eateries can be found across both terminals, allowing you to eat, drink and relax during your wait.
A departure and arrivals hall, check-in desks, luggage reclaim belts, children’s play areas, police counter, prayer room, post office, ATM machines, security check and more, are just some of the airport's services. In addition, a popular visitor terrace is available so that you can watch airplanes landing and taking off. Wi-Fi is available, including workstations for business travellers.

This is a Park & Ride service and often more cost-effective.
