Station information

Opened in 1888, Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Train Station is located in the Gallus District. Consisting of a large neo-Renaissance and neoclassical building, it was designed by Philipp Holzmann. The terminal contains 24 railway lines, it’s a S-Bahn (RER) terminus, and has the metro (U-Bahn), bus and tram networks. In its main hall, a statue of Atlas holding the world on his shoulders is present. Customers can expect to find plenty of coffee shops, eateries and general stores.
