" Something that's been bothering me for a while... You select a car-type (e.g. VW T-Roc or similar) and you most often get the similar. But the similar is not comparable to what you chose. For example, I got an Opel Crossland as similar to the T-Roc. Only in Opel's wildest dreams... "

" I have been a longstanding and very satisfied customer of Auto Europe, but things such as this with significant financial consequences should be highlighted and not buried in the small-print. "

" In general the rental went very well - nice car, efficient service, pleasant staff - but hidden in the small print was the fact that they needed a credit card and that this credit card cannot be American Express. This left me needing to pay a large amount of additional cash to bring the excess on the car down to zero. This made the car rental price unattractive and much more expensive than I had expected/been willing to pay. It was not a great financial welcome to Slovenia! "

" Very good car; very central location to pick up the car; easy process to return the car at night. Two negative points: a) they do not accept American Express and it could prove to be very difficult to absorb the guarantee on a Visa card b) I called a few days before to ask whether they could take the guarantee for the car on the credit card of the second driver and they told me yes. Upon collection, this was no longer possible. Miscommunication between 2 of their employees. "

" I like autoeurope and I rented a lot from their website but problem is that whenever there is a problem I cant get in touch with them and thats a big problem for me. If I find a company like autoeurope that I can get in touch with their customer service whenever I need help then I will stop renting through autoeurope. "

" Staff at the pick up very extremely unhelpful. They gave me a very high price first and they said the car was ready. I didnt take that offer and I made the reservation on autoeurope which was much cheaper and after making the reservation through autoeurope and I received an email that said reservation was confirmed. Staff at the pick up didnt like this and they made me wait 15-20 minutes and they said the reservation wasnt not confirmed yet eventhough I received a message that it was. After 15-20 minutes they said the the car was not ready and needed to be cleaned (it was ready when they tried to rip me off) but all the sudden it wasnt ready and they made me wait another 30-40 minutes. Horrible staff at the pick up, drop off staff were nice, but pick up staff were horrible "both of them, they were like muggers waiting in the corner to mug you" I will never rent from this company again, ever. It was too obvious that they try to rip people off, I could see the $ sign in their eyes. "

" Everything was as promised, EXCEPT the additional fee for crossing the border. This was 10 EUR per day, which I didn't know I needed to pay additionally, even though I indicated in the form, that I will travel to foreign countries. Although this was mentioned in the fine print (as I discovered later), I found your service not transparent. I expected to pay what I paid online, I wouldn't have ordered the car, had I known it will cost me 50 EUR more (almost 50% more, than what I paid first). Therefore I will probably not use your service any more. There are few things I hate more than hidden costs in fine print and car rentals seem to be diseased with this. Just tell me how much it costs, its very simple, like everything else. Also I don't appreciate you have default settings for questions 1, 2 and 4 of this form, it will give you scewed and unrealistic results, which you will falsly interpret that you are doing a good service. "

" Car was in tip-top condition and did not give any mechanical problem. The GPS was not of much use, sometimes giving incorrect directions and useless for actual addresses inside cities or even finding the airports! The nit-picking to find "damages" to the body work of the car on return, really very minute scratches etc. left a poor taste. The employee then finally said they were so minor that it was possible that it was overlooked by the person delivering the car earlier. I had chosen complete insurance cover otherwise I am wondering how many thousand Euros you would have charged for "damages" "

" A 19 euro insurance policy was added to the base hire but not easily visibly in the receipt. We needed to take out an extra 48 euro insurance policy with avant car and knew this before picking up the car so rang auto Europe to cancel their insurance. They wouldn't refund the amount. "

" Worst experience ever . They will steel your money as much as they can . They tried to cancel my confirmed and fully paid booking and the tried to force me to rent a car and pay again after 2 hour throw phone they closed the line on my face i had to make calls with the rental car company "avant" and they send me to another city to pick up the car from there also they said if i dont like that i pick the car up from another location where i already choosed then i need to complain !! "

" I have been some problems with the car. 2 wheels broken in an island in croatia. They said i had to found where to repair it by myself because it was going to be cheaper for me??. I called so many times to many numbers to find a car assistant (it is a cost for me) and i could contact to a car assistant who i had to pay too. We had to go out the island that day and in the garage didnt have the same brand wheels and they said i had to wait 3 days to have the same brand of wheels or put 2 wheels of other brand. I said that i had to go out the island that they and they changed the two wheels with 2 of other brand.I had to pay other 200?. Now avantcar say to me that they are going to take from deposit money to buy 2 new premium wheels.incredible "
