" Hertz is our preferred provider of car hire and we have booked through AutoEurope and chosen Hertz on numerous occasions. However on this booking were somewhat disappointed. We were arriving at the cruise port and chose this location adue to it's proximity to the port. We couldn't pick up a taxi at the port and after trying Uber (there were no cars in Haugesund), we walked to Karmsundgate 178 as per AutoEurope's instructions only to find no Hertz office there. There was a car rental place there and they advised that the pick up point was in fact another 1.5km away which took us another 20 minutes to walk to! We only had a short time in port that day so we lost an hour of our hire due to the unexpected change in location. Please make sure the location instructions are changed! "

" Rented a Suzuki Cross 4 wheel drive but was provided with a Toyota Corolla 2 front wheel drive instead. It was a two wheel drive, as indictaed from the system specifications provided within the car's on-screen system, and the fact that only front two wheels spun when we were once stuck in the snow. When we approached Hertz staff on how to activate 4 wheel function, they insisted it was "automatic" and there was not settings to be changed. This was dishonest and overall an unpleasant experience; as not only costs, but safety issues were at stake. Hertz also tried to sell us additional insurance on the spot, when collecting the car. Such predatory sales tactics was very unpleasant and unprofessional, as there would be little time for the insured to read and understand the long terms and conditions involved. I will hesitate to recommend or try Hertz in my future rentals. "

" First when i came to Hertz at Tromso airport, i was told they cannot provide me a car, due to an accident. I was told to take a taxi and surely they will get me a car until the next day. To my comment that taxi to Senja is 4 hours drive away and taxi will be expensive, the stuff assured me they will refund it all. Taxi costed about 800€ and I payed it with my money. It ended that i didn't have a car for 4 days (i came here for my vacation and for limited time; and it was not cheap at all). Then guys from Hertz Tromso brought a great pick up car, and that I must gratify. To my email, whether Hertz can transfer that money to my account, they replied a formullar that said, i don't have to pay for car rental, because the taxi was the same price. But the thing is that i have already payed for rent a car, precisely on 12.12.2019. After that they did not reply me anymore. They owe me approximately 800€, but do nothing about it. I will wait a little more, but if they don't pay me all back, I will jump in action and start complicating. I really hope we can solve this together without complications. " Booked small car in Bergen airport (Norway), Hertz wanted to give me 1.0 litre Hyundai, but offered me an upgrade to Subaru XV 2.0 litre petrol automatic for extra 5 Euros a day, total 35 EUR a week. Agreed to take more powerful car as there was many hills and mountains. At the very begining car felt underpowered and felt like slipping clutch. Started to wonder if anything wrong with a car tried to contact for help but didn't get through to anyperson so continued mine journey. Later that day I found in glovebox a paperwork from Highways agancy that stated that this car actually was 1,6 litre petrol. When we took car back to drop off and explained the problem they promised to reimburse me with 15 Eur (145 kroner) from the toll road bill. I asked if theres any receipt that states final bill, instead they told me that I will receive invoice through eMail which I got day later but with full amount of toll road bills and no discount at all. "

" The saga with Europecar should be on the record. Suffice to say that, I believe, the web site incorrectly recorded my pick up time and by the time I discovered the problem it was the weekend. I received zero sympathy and zero help in sorting the problem from Europecar. THE HERTZ people in Namsos were fantastic "

They don't know if which kind of insurance I have booked, is that possible? Car was not that type I have choosed, but same category and therefore not a big issue for me. It was a little bigger only, can occuse interesting situation on side roads in Norway :-) "

" The Car breaking has to be checked bcz when we are driving in down hill road the car is not stopping when we apply brake. Takes some time or we need to hit the brake strongly which totally makes the car to full Halt I would also recommend to put the sign boards or instructions on how to reach the Kiosk at Central Railway station. The most important thing is we paid 390 NOK for GPS, but in most cases will not show the proper route or even does not suggest the alternate route if we have a road block. We used our mobile GPS in most of the cases. I request this point to be taken on priority since the PAID service delayed our trip progress to great extend and extra kilometers to reach the right direction again "

" Dear Auto Europe, I have a complaint about my reservation, here comes the details: 28 June 23:50 I booked a car through you website (pick up at Evenes airport Norway from 29th June till 7 July). I received an e-mail with a document. During the reservation process I had to give the data about my Bank card and after the reservation, Auto Europe immediately got the whole amount of money. 29 June 7:16 I received an e-mail from the security (Hassiba Gasmi, Accounting Department, Auto Europe Deutschland GmbH). He required information and documents. 29 June 7:47 I replied to the e-mail and sent my scanned documents as attachments. 29 June 8:14 I received the CONFIRMATION about the reservation and the Voucher 14743346. 29 June 20:15 I landed at Evenes Airport, went to the Hertz desk (as I read on the Voucher) and realized that my name was not on the list and I had NO reservation. I called the head of local Hertz (Ann-Kristin, Storgata 23, 9406 HARSTAD, Norway) by phone and she checked what had happened. 29 June 20:31 I received an e-mail from Ann-Kristin with a fax document that my reservation was cancelled on 29 June around 8.30 without any reason. It was almost 21 o'clock, and I had no car however I prepaid the whole amount! It was very frustrating and I did not know how it had happened! Finally, we had to book another car and paid another whole amount again! It was not my fault, I had a Voucher and a confirmation about my reservation but I got in trouble because of something, which I had no information about. I asked my Bank and they said that on 3th July they confirmed and booked the amount (1070.42 EUR = 358 987 HUF). I request to arrange the process of sending back to me the whole amount of money to my bank account immediately. " Everything was according my wishes, excepting return of deposit: 5 day ago i returned the car, but card is still blocked. On the second day after returning I received an invoice with amount to pay. By the way the amount of deposit is very huge: 3000 NOK for fuel and roads fee. At the travel time 1 week i spent 800 NOK for fuel and 350 NOK for roads fee (according invoice from Hertz). "
