" I know you can never guarantee a specific car type, but in this case the car I received was simply not suited for my use case. I booked the Opel Grandland category because I needed 3 individual back seats. The car I got didn't have that and therefore was useless. "
" This rental was entirely unsatisfactory for me and a waste of money, if I don't get a reimbursement. I booked the SUV category where an Opel Grandland is shown as an example. The Grandland has 3 individual backseats which is what I needed to fit 2 child seats and an adult. Instead I got a Kia Niro which has a back bench and it's impossible to fit 2 child seats and third person, although the person at the desk assured me there was enough space. So I ended up not using the car at all (check the mileage which was just from the station to home and back again). Unfortunately the station was closed and therefore it was impossible to swap for another car. "

" Oon the voucher it was mentioned that 2100 Euros would be blocked on CC but budget blocked 2500. Furthermore, they asked for additional CC that should be 'American Express'. These bizarre rules were so off putting. Lastly I had minor damage on vehicle, which was charged on my secondary card(American Express) instead of Primary one. Had to pay huge currency conversion fee because of this nuisance. "

" I had completed my order through AutoEurope For an automatic but Budget has received an order for a manual. They acknowledged the error on AutoEuropes part and still honored the price and gave me a nice automatic car within 20 min. The only issues was it took ages to print the receipt, I would encourage management at That Budget office invest in better WiFI & printers. I was very happy with the service I got though, they are just working with Stone Age tech. "

" Due to the COVID-19 situation, the normal counter operations were moved to the pick-up desk in the garage. Although staff there were as helpful as they could, they struggled with the computer system. Similarly, when I tried to extend the rental first on the site, then by phone, and then in person at a rental station, system issues prevented me from doing so online or over the phone and the (again: very helpful) staff at the station had to struggle with a number of systems issues. I understand that this is not a normal situation, and that should be all the more reason to have the online systems work as they should. "

They had moved 3 weeks previously and they tell me you had been notified, but you failed to update your online details or advise me of this change. As a result, I had an unnecessarily long journey to collect the car. "

" It was the worst car rental experience I ever had. Me and my wife planned a whole weekend in the northen part of the Netherlands, and when I arrived to pick up the car I was told that they run out of cars, and they simply can't do anything about it. I was also told the reason is that they did not get the cars the were soposed to, and told me they new about it since 8pm the day before - why nobody took the time to inform us about it?! Our whole weekened was canceled becuase of it and we even didn't get our miney back yet! "

I discovered that my credit card already provided superior coverage and it would have been better if I could have removed the auto Europe coverage since this is what my bank required in order for theirs to work. " At the desk the staff member offered us an insurance upgrade (full covarage) for 80 Euro. Otherwise he would have blocked 1.250 Euros of my account. I have never seen an amount so high with other car rent companies. The car was upgraded as well after paying the 80 Euros and 90 more Euros have been blocked. There were 3 damages on the car before we took it. After bringing it back the guy who checked it said there had been one new damage on the engine hood. Actually it was an app. one inch long "scratch". Obviously I had nothing to do with it. A scratch so tiny and futile could be skipped whenever they want and then tell the next client to pay the damages. Quite a ridiculous thing. Without the full coverage we would have payed 170 Euros for the "scratch"!!! For a damage the could not have been proved by the slightest way.... The only reason I payed the 80 Euros at the beginning was the 1.250 Euros blocking threat. Very unfair procedure. Will not recommend Budget to anyone. "

" Budget/Avis office closes at 23:00 (A little early if you ask me, as many planes still arrive after this, but ok) My plane was a good hour late and they told me they might wait half an hour. By the time I arrived I expected the office closed. To my pleasant surprice they man called me right after my plane had landed and he is waiting for me! So he waited over an hour, just for me. Needless to say I gave him a nice tip, as I was travelling with my young daugher and it saved us a whole lot of trouble. "
