" I have arrived at the counter at 22:55 and I was told that I was not going to be charged with 40 EUR for after hours charge (if I had arrived after 23:00 - closing office time) yet I was charged - see attached Europcar invoice. I agreed to pay the Premium protection package but not the after hours charge which was not the case. Please demand Europcar to refund the 40 EUR, I am very disappointed by this behavior, I was told at the counter that I will not be charged. Waiting for your answer. "

" AutoEurope should not partner with Hertz as it does affect ultimately their image if they deal with clients in this way. "

" I couldn't refill the gas tank fully, not sure why. I tried in 2 gas stations and the same happened. I tried to call Hertz at least 10 times to explain the situation, in both locations (pick up and return) and no one picked up the phone. Nobody called me back as well... Then I received a new bill with 45€ additional for some gas fees!!! Also, there were additional fees (theft and protection waiver fees, license plate...) and one way fees (the only additional fees that I expected based on your contract). To know how much they would charge my credit card, they took the amount I paid to AutoEurope minus the VAT. Then they added all the lines and then removed the amount I already paid to AutoEurope (minus VAT) and here was my new bill, on which they added some VAT. What about the VAT I already paid to AutoEurope?? So I paid 170€ to AutoEurope and then was debited without my authorization another 100€ from Hertz for 1 day rental.... This is totally abusive and unprofessional. I will report this company to the European Customer Protection center as I am shocked of how they treat their customers. "

" I ordered automatic car, but was given manual. When asked to replace agent struggled, asked am I sure its manual. there was full of people so I offered to make a discount instead. they "provided" discount for child boosters. "provided" because they gave new payment confirmation with 50 EUR discount, but did not refund or give cash. still blocked amount on credit card is not returned. moreover, boosters provided for 4y and 5y olds described as 15+ kg, very clearly not in the category advertised and are suited for kids more like 25+ kg. Next, car was very stinky, it smelled from cigarettes being non-smokers car. not only it was unpleasant for us and kids, but also all clothes were stinky afterwards. And to finish this premium rent companies car - car was in very poor technical condition - steering wheel was shaking and car tended to go right-side on the road. I will never ever use hertz again. "

" When I arrived at the airport for car pick up, I went to the Hertz counter. There was nobody present but there was a notice to go directly to the pick up area. No issue, I had to collect the car from that area anyway. As soon as I arrived, the employee told me that I should have waited at the counter instead of going to the pick up area. I explained that I was simply following instructions. He appeared annoyed and said something in his own language to his colleagues, which I do not understand. He still carried out the paperwork, but there was no friendly smiles. I find this is not the way to treat customers. When booking the car, through auto-europe , the fuel policy was clearly stated as "pickup full and return full". I complied with this requirement and returned the car with a full fuel tank. I fully refuelled the car just 20 minutes away from the airport but was then charged €79.32 for fuel and service. It was not possible to have used that amount of fuel in such a short time. "
