" The final invoice was different from the quotation. There was no breakdown of the extra costs (around 50 euro). Basically just add 10% to the bill and thank you very much. I will not recommend Avis, nor will I make use of their services again if they charge more than their quotation! "

" Slow process at pick up counter. Probably took 15 to 20 mins just to process despite having booked online. Would not take credit card that reservation was paid for with for the security. I had to use my personal debit card for this and the charge of circa €90 is not expected to be returned for 15 to 30 days. "

" I've always had good experiences with auto Europe and use them about three times a year. I was disappointed that the complete return information was not correct when I booked the rental and the additional charge for parking made me consider using a new service next time. "
" Generally good, except the location closed at 16:30 on the Monday we returned and we were told if we returned after that time we should park on the street, pay the meter and use the key Dropbox. Paying the meter was an additional 24€. Someone from your office did call to make sure we knew the situation once we were on the road, but this policy doesn't make me happy about Avis or auto Europe. This policy should be clearly written in the contract so customers can make a better judgement of which rental company to choose based on their circumstances. I won't be eager to use Avis for future rentals. "

" I like the promptness of your service. However, it could have been clearer in some cases of what was included with Avis and what to potentially expect. "
" The staff were rude towards me. I still have not received my deposit back. The drop off process was not clear to me. Avis, do not put customers first. They seemed to be focused on money and if anything goes wrong with the car. "

As I refused because I was paying more than the value of a brand new one, they brought other from somewhere that was in slightly better condition. It took me 20 minutes in the garage and the attendant was unprepared. "

" The whole process was OK, except for the pick up which was disastrously badly organised. "
" The wait for the registration on pick up was unacceptably long and a reason not to do this again. Having to enter all details again and having insufficiënt staff adds another 90 minutes after a long flight which is a terrible way to impress clients. "

" Overall a good experience but car was badly smelling of smoke. I was given a french licenced car to be returned to Schiphol airport and thought that the french were allowed to smoke in their rental cars. Upon returning the car I was told that nobody is allowed to smoke in the cars. Maybe a no-smoking sticker in all your cars will help....it took me 5 days ventilating the car, leaving the windows open during the night, to get rid of the smell. "
