I asked her about the cost and time for traveling from the airport to downtown and she told us that there is nothing they can do for us. After a few minutes of arguing, she did let me return the car downtown by leaving the key at the security office of the building. However, I was still responsible for the car until the next morning if anything happens to the vehicle. This was not a problem as I had a full coverage package but if you don't, this is risky. Besides this experience, the quality of the car was good. "

" It would have been better to book and agree on the car rental conditions directly with Avantcar, ie. without Auto Europe intermediation. The reason is that I had selected at car rental booking, and early payment with Auto Europe a more expensive package which had to cover full car insurance. However, at Avantcar pick-up, they explained to me that the over charge does not go to them, but only as commission to Auto Europe: this means it would have been just the same for them if had chosen the option without extra insurance. Even with the extra package I had purchased, I would have been obliged to block my credit card for 1000 EUR to cover possible damages with the car; the other option would have been to pay 20 EUR / day additionally as full insurance, which I finally did. In such way my card was blocked only for 200 EUR to cover possible penalties etc. "

Crossing border is 77 EUR in other rent'a'car 40-50, insurance is 45 EUR (for Škoda Superb), but they do not cover anything even if you are not guilty (at least the told you so) without that insurance. There is just one insurance possible, 100% full insurance for huge amount of money. Car was like it came from 2nd World War, smashed on several places on each 4 sides (and seller said "it is not my problem that car is in that condition"), but still they "find" me two new damage between those 50 previous damages. Luckily I had insurance, but still procedure takes long time. NEVER AGAIN. And I rent car at least 40 times per year. "

Fortunately there was one employee that was just leaving and instructed us where to park and where to drop the key. Also, written instructions on the Avantcar office would have been helpful. The small parking lot where we were instructed to leave the car had no Avantcar signs and fortunately there was one parking spot available. Even tho this is mandatory to go to this city in croatia and only takes 5 minutes we had to pay 35 extra euro. This extra fee was presented on the morning that we came to pickup the car and not before even tho it was mention in our reservation that we are going through bosnia to go to Dubrovnik. Feeled scammed of my money. It is an easy way to earn on customers that are in a hurry. Shame on you!! "

I was well received very friendly and everything explained clearly. There appeared to be a very small tap to the shockbreack.
