Upon car return (Day 4), I was presented by ALAMO PL with two [very difficult to identify chips] on the windscreen telling that these were not present in the beginning of the rental day and maybe a little stone have caused them. NOTE: due to their size, I could not have noticed these chips anyway in Day 1. The "protocol" was signed, Alamo PL stated that the technical team will make a verdict during the coming days, whether a new windscreen needs to be purchased or NOT. In the 1st scenario, the cost would reach 400 EUR, close to the amount the blocked in my credit card (>500 EUR). COMMENT: Obviously, this could represent a systematic approach by ALAMO PL to lead drivers towards a rather non-trustful pathway as it cannot be guaranteed in the first place by any "normal" person [no microscope was available and anyway cannot be used for the entire vehicle]. CURRENTLY, as I have originally opted for a full insurance by AUTOEUROPE, I am awaiting for the final verdict of ALAMO PL before I forward any claim towards AUTOEUROPE. But the obvious question will always remain: is this a systematic approach by the local Renting company (ALAMO PL)? "

" 10/16/2024 09:03am Car Return to Alamo The young man working for Alamo checked our car in the parking lot. He framed us smoked inside the car, he claimed that there were cigarettes ash on the mat down the driver's side. €100 will be charged for this issue. We told him that we don't smoke, and actually this car came with heavy cigarette smell when we received the car on 10/6. We asked the girl who released the car if we could get the Kia Sportage that we reserved, she said no. Fully booked. The smell made us sick in the past ten days during the rental period. 10/16 The young man refused to take our explanation and framed us for what we didn't do, put the dishonest charge on us. We went to Alamo's office and spoke to the manager regarding this incident and showed him the picture of so called Cigarette ASH by his staff. The manager was bright and understanding, he took our explanation and wrote me an email stating that the deposit will be fully refunded after deducting the additional driver charge €64. I appreciate his kindness and professionalism as an admin. Case closed. The behavior of Alamo staff Filip Kuczin at the car return location was a scam. It terribly damaged the reputation of Enterprise / Alamo that I trusted in the past 30 years. Luckily that his manager listened to the voice of clients and resolved the problem. So many similar bad reviews on Google. Hopefully, it won't happen again. "

When I tried to call back after four hours I was told that reservation was cancelled and I had to book a new car and paid 3x times more than original booking. I always book through auto europe but after this experience I might not use it anymore. I've been using you over 7 years now. "
