" I purchased the Auto Europe Cancellation Cover after it was stated everywhere "I CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME". It was a kind of misleading advertisement, because: - On your page dedicated to rental company's T&C, it wasn't listed anywhere that I would had to pay a 62,50€ of fee for extra-office-hour pickup - The pickup day my flight was very late, so I had to call te rental company to notify them. Only at that point, informed by the rental company, I've got to know about the extra-office-hour pickup fee. It was mentioned within the rental voucher, ok, but absolutely NOWHERE on your booking portal - Rental company's T&C section - Considering this extra cost, I wanted to delete my reservation. Here the mendacious commercial behaviour: "I CAN CANCEL AT ANYTIME", but unfortunately I could have done it only by calling the customer care. At 10.45PM (I can document the call) I did it, and NO ONE answered. I was holding at the phone more that 15 minutes before giving up. I tried calling again, but this time an automatic voice said they were available UNTIL 11:00PM, and that I should have to recall the day after. - At this point, not sure if I could have been fully refunded after the pickup date, really embittered, I decided to proceed with the rental and pay the additional extra-office-hour fee. The day after I complained about this unfair commercial behaviour with your Customer Care and they suggested to make an official complaint with the insurance, to get a refund of the extra-office-hour pickup fee. I am going to proceed. "

" They scam people. Their terminal was rejecting my credit card with "wrong pin". I used this card before and after the rental using this pin, moreover, I ran to an ATM to get a balance statement to proof that the card and the pin are ok. They insisted the card is to blame. There's a google review describing the same situation. In the end they suggested I buy their insurance for 40EUR/day in order to bypass the credit card issue. "

" Arrived 1.45 hr late for pick up at Split Airport only to be told by Air Rent that they cancel booking after 1 hr. The agreement T&C's dors not mention this anywhere and even the Auto Europe helpdesk told me it is 'usually' at least 2 hrs before a booking is cancelled. This resulted in me being stranded at Split Airport with no car until the following morning, which I had to separately book and pay for again with another rental company - Air Rent rebooked the car to another customer after 1 hr and took my money! I called the customer service of autoeurope to change the name of the driver, they informed me that it was not possible to make ANY changes to the booking at all. All changes had to be made at least 48 hours prior to pick-up. According to Air rent a car in Croatia, the company that provided the car, it was totally impossible to make a deposit on a debit card, which is something I have done several times before. The "solution" offered to us by Air was to pay a full insurance with them. In that way we would not have to put down a deposit at all. In order for us to be able to pick up the car at all we therefore had to pay 120 euros for a second insurance for a three day rent, in addition to the full insurance we already paid to Auto Europe. According to Air the full insurance with auto Europe was not a full insurance at all. Either way we ended up paying for full insurance twice. To be fair an e-mail from Auto Europe stated that the credit card had to be in the name of the driver. However, this was not higlighted in any way, rather it was hidden in an email with loads of other information. " The cost for options is not clearly exposed during the booking process. When I had the bad surprise at the counter I called your client services. The person on the line was very rude. She was useless to my issue but this I can understand. But she was rude, did not let me finish my sentences and hang up the phone at my face while I was talking. Even though I was myslef pretty pissed that the company charge me twice more for a booster seat than for the car, that is clearly not a proper attitude from your employee. "
" The price of the booster seat for child was a complete thief. More expensive than the actual car. Autoeurope does not provide sufficiently clear information about it when the booking is done. I amso had a damage on the car, and they did not provide all the document regarding it, and now I am not suore if my insurance will cover my expenses "
