" Renting with Auto Europe is a very efficient way to find rental providers at a very good rate! The rental process is smooth. Hopefully you will take the complaints about the partners into account ... "

" The car was in a very bad condition: scratches, bumps, dirty interior, ... The damages were only partially noted on the vehicle description (with the risk of additional damage claims!), and there was no formal hand-over possible with the staff checking the additional damages. We had to take pictures and video's before leaving the airport to be sure to have some proof. Again, when dropping off the car, there was no staff present at the airport to check the condition of the car. To ensure any claims, we had -again- to take pictures of the condition of the car at drop-off. Never again! "

The manager and his colleague were incredibly helpful, coming out to see the car that night, and making effective arrangements for a replacement car that same evening. " AUTO EUROPE has not fulfilled the obligation to reimburse the voucher that AUTO EUROPE itself issued to me at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020. " Very simple to rent at Autoeurope, I liked. All were understood, but in voucher you can see that one way price can be changed at a rental office. It a little bit scary. "

" Hi! It was very good experience, thanks Active. But it was one big problem: in voucher or any other info in documents I couldn't find drop off address. For tourists without internet access it complicated problem. I asked nearest restaurant owner to help us and he had to call to Zadar to help us. When he knew address we were met by Active on the bus stop (they wait us after call, thank you very much). In case without it we were never find drop off place, there are no any info on the road or trade centre or no pointers where drop of place. In common we spent 1.30 to find it and late to drop off at 2 hours. May be more, because road from Zadar to Dubrovnik was more long then I expected. Complex experience with Active very good, if I will be in Croatia I take car at this company (but hope prices will be lower, 100+ euro for economy per day is too much). Thank you! "

" Staff tried to rip us off 130 euro's as a so-called "minimum amount" for a little 1,5cm long and 1mm wide strip of plastic that came off the back bumper. We have photos, it represents NOTHING. Then tries to work out a "deal" where we pay only extra insurance (still 40e). How many people don't they rip off, knowing that 1- people are pressed for time at the airport 2- the guy at drop off is 2meters tall and has arms as big as chimney pipes. I saw a technique of rip off through intimidation. Car was great, but the drop off will make me think twice if I ever rent with them again. "

After waiting agea for two coatumers ahead of us, first they thought that they had given our car to someonw else and called mw thinking they were calling the person with our car. Then realised our car was there, but the person who was taking us to the car was really confused and stopped and came back several times to look at paper work and ended up sending us alone to find the car and joined us later. The car was completely dirty insode and out, hadn't been cleaned after the previous user who had left a bag with a camera and charger underneath the seat and no one found. Whe eventually found it and gave it to the gentleman at the check out in dubrovnik who was nice enough to drive us in the car to the airport terminal which was nice. "

" No hassle with booking or anything else. Still seems a bit expensive, even though the offers were among the cheaper ones out there. All in all, I'm satisfied. "

" There was a small hiccup at the start where the car I booked hasn't arrived yet, but they provided me with a smaller one (because the only bigger one was combi vans) and they drove the new one to my place for a swap when it was ready (few hours). Very happy with the service, although it all still seems a bit on the pricier side. "

" It's not always easy to chose everything extra you want, as additional driver etc. "

" My only concern were that they reserve money for 2-4 weeks, which is a long time when you rent a car for 5 days, no other company I've hired from have hold my money for so long, usually they free them the same day. But overall service was great and no problems with the car or renting. "

" Was charged an outrageous 400? for an inconsequential scratch on the bumper. There is now way on Earth that it would cost that much to repair even if they decide to repair it. It is likely that they won't considering I have rented numerous cars with scratches like that at pick up. Active rent a car is just out there to hurt their customers and make a buck. "

" It was very unclear because of the payment. When I was paying with my VISA, it was written, that I am paying 75 Euro. In the Rijeka office ACTIVE I was told that I've payed only 25 Euro. I had to pay 50 Euro there. When I was back home I tried to clear up this case. After being forwarded to several persons I was told that I did pay only 25 Euro. Please correct your payment system to avoid such confusion! "

" Because of this payment confusion I wrote before, it costed me long time to become the car. Igor Pejic from ACTIVE refused to call Auto Europe to clear how much money did I payed in fact. He told me that I should do it myself. I asked him about the gasoline station in the near from Zagreb Airport and he recommended to tank in Rijeka for 160 Kuna, which at the end was double gasoline I did use to come to Zagreb Airport. "
