" I have some thoughts on Klass Wagen. First of all, the excess situation. In Europe this is common practice that you need to buy additional insurance to cover the excess. I had done so with an insurance company back home. So far so good. But when arriving at Klass Wagen they inform me that if I don't take their excess coverage they will not provide an additional vehicle if this one brakes down, they will not tow the car (I guess that can be overcome by being part of an automobile association), and they tell you to bring back the car fully washed!! The washing part was completely baffling to me as I have never heard of that this day and age. If you are on a tight schedule...I guess you are better off renting somewhere else. To be fair, if you'd rent directly from Klass Wagen they told me all is included (though at a higher rate than Auto Europe). Just know that renting via a 3rd party will have Klass Wagen apply the crazy policy onto your rental. As for the cost of this Klass Wagen insurance, it would've been almost 3x the price I paid on Auto Europe for the rental. The excess for the car we rented was set at €1700 and was (per usual for most rental agencies in Europe) blocked on my credit card. Still, it felt like they were trying to rob me with the excessive amount they would charge. So, we just kept the home country insurance, had the excess blocked on my credit card and washed the car before returning. Because of meticulously checking the car before taking if off the lot at the start of the trip, there was nothing they found. So for me, it ended well. Please note that if you would get the Auto Europe excess insurance, Klass Wagen will still tell you that you would be better off paying their excess fee. Beware and weigh your excess insurance options (including theirs) before renting. "

" Auto Europes customer service was not helpful when I called them to figure out why the rental company wanted to charge my card for excess when I booked zero excess. The person I spoke to had no answers, only said "ok, yeah it must be somewhere in the terms then". "
" Zero Excess was not Zero Excess, we had to block tires and glass damage was not included, the car (or similar category) was not available. Because of the winter time and expected snow I selected a mid size car, and opted for the Zero Excess option to not have to worry if for whatever reason I would have minor damages. On pickup the Payless employee let me know they did not have the car or a similar available and I got a Dacia Logan from a lower category. Then they wanted to charge my credit card with 300 Euro Excess. According to them the Zero Excess option was infact a refundable excess, and damage on tires and windows was not included. For that I had to get an additional insurance. According to Auto Europe this was ok as it showed in the terms and conditions that the Zero Excess option at Payless had an Excess of €300 and did not even cover all damages in that excess. They promised to replace our car the next day at our hotel, however the next day we called to check on when they would arrive and they told us they still did not have the car available as the current renter extended their lease. When informing about other cars that showed available on Auto Europe they stated they only had Dacia Logans, one Opel Astra and one Dacia Duster and if someone booked another car they just gave them a Dacia Logan. Eventually they changed our car after two days for an Opel Astra. So all in all Zero Excess was not Zero Excess, tires and glass damage was not included, the car (or similar category) was not available. Stay away. "

" Despite the fact that the staff was friendly and helpful, the condition of the car disappointed me a lot. I was choosing to rent the automatic car with super cover insurance thinking that the cars rented by Hertz are almost new and to be protected against damages in case will happen. I was receiving a Toyota Auris with 91000 km, a dirty interior and with many scratches from accidents on the back side. Both left and right sides at the back bumper were scratched. The guy who made the paper marked them up accordingly, so no problem with that, but I was expecting something much better for the amount of money I have paid. On top of that, the car had WINTER TIRES in the middle of July, with outside temperature above 30 degrees. I was mentioning this to the guy , but he told me that are all season tires, which I saw not correct looking for the tires on the internet later. Luckly there were no problems during 18 days, but the handling of the car was not I was used to, most likely due to the tires. In the past I owned a Toyota Corolla and I know how the car brakes and reacts in the corners with good tires. So I was not feel safe in that car with my wife and 2 years old kid. The drop-off was smooth and I'm happy about how the procedures went, but totally dissapointed about condition of the car. I think it's totally not acceptable to have WINTER TYRES on a car in a very hot summer. "

We want to draw your attention to an incident at the SIXT rental station in Bucharest airport which throws a very bad light on SIXT employees and thus the company you are cooperating with. We rented a car on Saturday , 10.June 2017 from your company in Bucharest at the Radisson Blu Hotel and handed it back over as planned on Sunday 11.June 2017. Car number plate: IF 07 JHB Customers: Barbara Wienkamp-Weber and Martin Weber, Smakkegaardsvej 121 in 2820 Gentofte, Denmark. When we rented the car, an Opel Astra; a staff member came with us to the hotel garage to write the handing over report. The car appeared generally ok, but not washed, dusty and dirty all around. " Because I have been travelling with my family and we needed space for our luggage, I have booked the car with the big boot: Skoda Octavia Estate. When we have arrived at Bucharest Payless Car Rental, we were told that there is no type of car according to our reservation. After more than an hour waiting we have been presented with smaller Opel Astra Sedan. We had to travell very uncomfortable, with our luggage in cockpit. Last week, after my coming back from holiday, I wrote a complaint to Auto Europe. I have not got any answer yet. "
