" TO AVOID!!! I did not buy a full excess fee reduction from Avis at the desk because I purchased the insurance from Autoeurope. Result: they tried to cheat us and steal money in two ways. 1) Fuel tank was half at the beginning and they wrote full tank on the document 2) They did not mentioned all the scratches of the car and at the return they wanted to charged us the not mentioned. Fortunately I made a lot of pictures of everything before starting the tour and so after a strong "fight" at the counter they stepped back from their trial to steal money (point 2 would have stolen money from Autoeurope since I had the full damage cover policy with you). Actually today after 10 days I still have 1.500euro blocked on my credit card. They did not took these money, but they are still blocked on my bank account (not yet released by Avis). If they take 1 single euro I will denounce them to the police authorities. I can share my Avis documents and my pictures with anybody, if you need it. Wouldn't give me the car without it. When I argued that the return of the rental should ensure no damage charges, they shrugged me off. When I asked these questions, the staff were very rude and kept saying 'Lady, this is the way it is, you sign or you get no car'. "
