" Overall a good experience BUT when arriving we were asked by the counter agent if a diesel vehicle would be acceptable - we said no, on the basis of the very negative environmental impact of diesel. He seemed to agree but when we arrived at the lot we had been given a diesel vehicle anyway. In 2023 you really should modernise your fleet to more environmetally friendly options - and train your staff to accomodate these preferences "

" They did not recognize the comprehensive coverage we had on the vehicle, indicating it was 3rd party insurance they did not have any views on. I did not have enough capacity on my credit card to have the EUR2.6k blocked due to other holiday payments. After showing the AutoEurope voucher, they indicated that they still do not recognize the insurance and either needed (i) that we closed another insurance on the car (>EUR200), or (ii) have my wife as co-driver, block her credit card and we pay an additional EUR90. "

" Overall very good. A few small problems that shouldn't have been. Sixt didn't provide a spare tire. The hardest thing was understanding what was covered and not, so I ended up buying the Sixt CDW for glass and tire. I don't think ultimately I needed to, but it wasn't clear what I did have in my AutoEurope purchase. More clarity there would help. "

" Renting from Sixt was a terrible experience, one that lived up to all the online reviews. During the rental period, we experienced a tire blowout. I contacted Sixt's Roadside Assistance Team per the instructions in the contract and was told to purchase a replacement and present the receipt at return to be reimbursed. When I contacted Sixt's Customer Service, I was then told the reimbursement would not be paid because I did not purchase the extra Tire/Wheel insurance. This is not acceptable and I will NEVER secure a rental from Sixt ever again. "

" We had no problems at all with Auto Europe. Our car was ready as ordered, and paperwork was clear in all aspects. "

" We did have a problem with a slow leak in a tire, which should have been caught before we left with the car. They did put air in the tire, as the low tire pressure light was on when we picked it up, as was the indication that the oil filter needed changing at the next oil change. However, we were told that everything was okay, once the tire was inflated properly. We had to stop frequently to inflate again, until we finally found a tire repair shop and had it fixed. There was a nail in the tire, and we paid to have that removed and the tire leak sealed. I am contacting Sixt's Customer Service to inform them and request compensation. Their representatives were friendly and efficient, other than that. "
