" Hertz at KEF was OUTSTANDING! They took great care of me and provided a stress-free rental experience. The only thing I wish I knew about my rental was that the counter inside the aiport was going to be open just for my arrival, instead of having to walk outside to the main Hertz office. "

" I'm a fan of Auto Europe and come to your site first when renting. Hertz Iceland sucks however! "
" They bumped me from a Rav 4 to a BMW X1 which should have been good. The car immediately handled poorly as I could feel a vibration as I drove. I checked the tires and could easily tell they were very worn and should have been replaced, especially the front tires. We ended up having a tire blow out on us in a deserted area in Iceland. Hertz emergency number was of little help and said the tire was our responsibility to get fixed. It took several hours to find a place w/ that size tire, and all the repair shops said this is common in Iceland where the auto rental places don't keep their tires up, relying on renters to replace them. The engine light came on around day 3 or 4 of a 7+ day rental. I again called and they said to just report it once I return the vehicle. The car also pulled very strongly to the right. We just didn't feel safe in the car nor confident on its reliability. Hertz dismissed all our issues. "

" There was confusion with the insurance. It was not clear enough on the webpage and therefore we expected to have fuller injurance than we actually had and had to buy extra when reaching the Hertz desk. "

" Got a warning in the car about low tire pressure. Had to refill air in one tire. Besides that it was a good experience. "
