" The car I received was not in good condition, was not possible to drive over 100kmph due to unbearable vibration, car was pulling on motorway, steering wheel was not alligned, signal was not working properly, back seats didn't have belt (2/3)..... THIS CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, SO I COULD NOT USE WHAT I PAIED FOR AND HAD TO DRIVE 500km EXTRA FOR THE SWAP WHICH I DIDNT DO SO I DID NOT USE IT, ON TOP YOUR COMPANY ALSO CHARGED ME FOR CROSS BORDER FEE WHICH I DIDNT CROSS "

" Never got the chance to rent the car since they did not accept our debit cards or cash as a back up card. Previously they withdraw the rental fee online but never gave it back since 'the company policy' says that once the rental is due and then a problem or cancellation occurs, no refund can be made. Paid a fortune for not renting a car. It was our fault since we did not double check the card's terms and conditions but in a situation like this we would have expected a little bit of flexibility and more of willing to solve the problem especially after they had withdraw the rental fee. "

" When returning the car, I informed the rental company that there has been a minor accident and there is a small damage on the rear bumper. They obtained a "neutral expert opinion" concerning the cost of reparation, which resulted in an exhorbitant amount (for a very small paint repair), just above the excess amount. The opinion was provided in German language, which was not a language used in the contract, nor in the country of pick-up and the company offered to translate it for another 60 Euros. The company, based on the expert opinion, charged me with the full excess amount of 800.- Euros, plus handling fee. I asked them to revise this amount, given the very high labour cost assumed in the opinion, (cca 3 times normal labour costs in Hungarian garages), but they refused to even consider it. I consider this course of action as a rip-off, and I doubt it very much that the rear bumper will indeed be repainted by the rental company for the very small paint damage on it. "

The dropoff was super easy and everything else about the car was great. I was a little bummed i was not allowed to take the car into Bosnia, which meant getting to Dubrovnik required another two hours of travel and a ferry. "

" Getting the car was fine. But dropoff was very difficult. The airport gave us what they said was a map for the dropoff. But it turned out not to be a map at all, only to have an address for a gas station near where the drop off used to be in Budapest. There was not even an address for the dropoff on the sheet. We tried calling the service number a few times with no answer and guessed at an address (which was very far from the center of town). When we found the office, there were no instructions for drop off. This time the phone service answered but gave us mistaken instructions for the drop off (they said the key box was labelled -- it was not and was hard to find). I would like some kind of credit back or compensation for the frustration and difficulty. "

" Seems to me that Global - Megadrive - BuchBinder are making more money from overcharging/double charging small car damages that they will never actually fix, compared to their normal rental business. The whole procedure is designed to make you get the car without paying attention to every little detail and then overcharge you for damages that are minor, probably pre-existed that will never actually be fixed. I use rental cars in Europe for more than 25 years, this was definitely my worst experience. "
" Car class was mentioned as Opel Astra or Similar, we got a Dacia Logan MCV 1.0. Similar only sizewise. Quality and engine inadequate. (We expected that to be frank.) The most serious problem is that we were charged for almost 600 euros for a scratch on the plastic wheel-cup and a scratch on the front screen (stone-chip they called it), that we are not even convinced that we did. When we took the car we noticed two scratched wheel-cups that were not listed on the "known" damages of the car, but they said they only list damages and scratches on the main body of the car, so we did not pay attention to any further damages. When we returned the car they said the third wheel-cup and a small scratch on the front screen were "new damages" and charged our credit card with almost 600 euros, that we consider way too much. We expressed out complaints and still waiting for an answer that will probably never come. "
